Without owning Note or an iPhone, yet, can anybody confirm what bit depth and sample rate Ableton Note records audio at!? This would presumably (only) be seen when syncing with Cloud and opening inside of Ableton, unless there's some sort of setting inside of Note, which doesn't appear to be obvious...

Which is assumed is what Note is running through.

Maybe, if that's the case it seems silly to make something that relies so heavily on latency.

So much more could be done with a cross platform app, that was more about recording and audio manipulation, plus some melodic creations.

This is all conjecture though as haven't actually tried the app.

I'm aware of tracks, and scenes etc that can be manipulated via the Live Object Model.

I mean the application itself, the overall look.

Is anyone aware of a way to do this, via any official or unofficial API?

I've downloaded the zip file again and will try another install.

The original file was downloaded to an (assumed) Ext4 filesystem, then moved to NTFS, unpacked and installed - so may have been corrupted during this process.

Will try your suggestion if no joy.

Check your Power Options after upgrade. It reset mine to balanced on an MSI laptop...

Just thought I should update on this ...

I recently upgraded to Windows 10, and MS helpfully reset my Power Options to Balanced (throttling the CPU).

So after running Live with High Performance there and re-enabling multi-core support, all is well again
