Note that 3970x is now being released and apparently solves the chipsets issue. Thunderbolt is yet to be confirmed on TRX40 motherboards.

Who runs Live on threadripper here and how does it perform?

I use it on a daily basis on a 27" touchscreen (viewsonic) with Windows 8.1.

Because that screen has a low DPI:
- Most Ableton pluggs work well (e.g. E.Q eight)
- Most pluggins in gerneral work in an awesome way without automap or midi mapping etc.
- Smithson Martin Emulator Pro rocks

BUT ...

I have the same problem. Managed to install and play with Emulator 1.54 but midi configuration is unclear.

Also, the midi editor is a real pain - where can we test new Ableton templates? I'm ready to share mine : )

Starts at 2000€ and you can double it with options...

I have the same Kasio crash issue (Live 9 64 in Win 8 with i7 and more RAM then enough.)

One track does work well, but when adding the M4L device to a 30+ tracks session,(raw or with a preset) it crashes instantly... while the computer is not even reaching 10% of its ressources ...

After 6 months of comparison between pretty much everything high end on the market, I've finally purchased a full spec Aorus X7 (Gigabyte's top brand and hackintosh -able).

I'm so impressed of the first week test that it needs to be shared. Specs below are self explanatory but what it does not say ...
