Re: VST3 Support!
I don't specifically care about VST 3 as such as I do not do multichannel mixes (just stereo), however there are many circumstances in a mix where we work with 4 or more channels: Side chain inputs Instruments with multiple outputs. For instruments with multiple outputs, it is possible hack somethi...

Re: What is your honest feel on our chances to have PDC fixed?
FWIW, to fix automation timing with PDC, live does not need a rewrite. A rewrite is only needed if they want to fix the playhead being in time with very latent effects. They need to *add* code to tell the automation to shift by the track latency. The rewrite thing is just a myth. They could *add* a...

Re: LIVE 9 : PDC IMPROVED OR NOT ?
Nope. It isn't. Thank you Ableton. I'm beginning to believe what I heard numerous other ppl mention. That Ableton its best programmers....or worse.....they don't care and are just trying to get by milking the market with shiney cosmetic updates and stock plugin emulations from 3rd party programmers ...

Re: Any form of Bus Channels?
mark the tracks you want as a group, rightclick the title and chose "group". then, fade on the group-master. Problem with using the group function for bussing is that you can't have groups within groups. That's a serious flaw. None of the tracks within a group, as of Ableton Live 9, can b...

Re: AU vs VST...discovery?
It's kinda hard to stick to 1 or the other when some developers completely ditched Vst2 and went to VST3. Since I use a Mac...this occurs, for me personally, with Autotune EFX. Autotune is AAX, VST3, and AU for Mac. Ableton doesn't support VST3 so the only choice I have is AU. (I was kinda ripped on...

Re: Anyone use Apple's Magic Trackpad with Ableton?
Does anyone ever have issues adjusting parameters with the trackpad while your project is looping? Sometimes the parameters jump to the maximum range all of a sudden when I move them. I know it's not bc of any conflicting or accidental automation I've done. For example... In the arrangment view i'll...

Re: Thought's on Ableton's Sampler (vs kontakt and others)
I like both for various reasons. I use Sampler 99% of the time for sampling stuff and playing back audio when producing....but I use Kontakt if I'm wanting to play a sampled instrument. Kontakt 5 is more powerful...just not as user friendly. The best sample instruments are made for Kontakt bc it's t...

Re: max for live Convolution Reverb Pro WRONG PATCH
I really hope when Ableton (and other DAW's) updates in the future they adopt a design from Bitwig's "sandboxing plugins" feature. That design seems flawless. 10 out of 10 times it's a single plugin that crashes your entire DAW. For music creation I still easily prefer Ableton over Bitwig....
