Re: Mute drum pads hard to see

In daylight I can't tell the pads apart at all (Powered Push 1). I think for pad palette you have to check out color control scripts. I think if you search you'll find some info on this.

What value did you enter in Hardware Latency? What do you have in MIDI settings for that MultiClock device?

Re: how to fix the sound when you have too many compressors?

If you find it acceptable to learn about compression concepts in a general way, not Ableton Live specific, then The Ultimate Compression Tutorial by Mixbus TV both explains and destroys some myths. Compression is deep. It's better not do do it than to do it wrong, is how I feel. But you have to do i...

You mean you see "Collections" listed? I see only a couple of color categories.

Re: Mac CPU Issue?

Stormkraft: First of all, thanks for your reply. My Mac is definitely old, mid-2010. I just assumed that since it meets all minimal requirements announced by Ableton, it would work fine. These were the settings for the example I mentioned before: - Buffer size: 64 samples - Sample rate: 44100 You s...

Re: One midi channel randomly lowering volume (Please help)

What happens if you, in a separate and saved test under another name so you don't remain in your song's main set, duplicate this track and change the sound? When something like this happens try isolate the parts in a safe space and exchange them one by one. So if for example the MIDI clip lowers the...

Re: Undo (Ctrl+Z) randomly does not work (Live 9.0.1)

If you have a specific problem in a set, which certainly is possible — my suggestion is that this is not typical nor widely present in every installation of Live 10 , which you imply — you should report that to Ableton. They will be able to help you identify the cause, perhaps devise a workaround, ...

Re: Mac CPU Issue?

you are probably an ableton community person? We as users are all members of the Ableton Community. Main reason I answer in CPU threads is that Live's resource use concerns me. You don't have a dedicated graphics card? People say Push 2 graphics run on that now, if you have it. I have my system spe...

if you won't take your own advice, then why should all the people you suggest this to? I already explained that in the sentence you cut out. That you have a comprehension problem is your own problem. Go pick a fight with someone else. We're having a healthy debate. While we were disagreeing machine...

Re: External drives for sample packs and backup

Any thoughts? It's more important that the system drive is SSD. An external RAID with HDDs, connected with a sufficiently speedy connection will be faster, but the enclosure and the multiple disks will move it closer to SSD prices. Even the slowest SSDs typically read and write at 500MB/s whereas 7...

You absolute legend. Its all working perfectly! Thank you so much! Just disabled the EIST I think these kinds of settings, as well as drivers such ASIO4All, are common knowledge in these forums, though they are easy to overlook. I was almost convinced it wasn't this setting. Good that you sorted th...

Re: CPU spikes with just one reverby VST

Im struggling with that last sentence. Im running windows 10 so how could i locate these settings. Consider me a complete computer noob I've just ran Intel Power Gadget at the same time and the CPU is running at 0.60Hz. Interestingly when ableton's CPU reading is spiking around 85-90 just when im m...
