Hey guys.
Since I'm new to music production and have been having a hard time getting started, I figured it'd be easier to try a few remixes rather than start tracks from scratch.
What are some good sources to get the required samples and all that jazz to remix a track? Preferably for free.
Thanks.

Diverse Sample Packs?
I'm looking for cheap/free sample packs that have some diversity. I want to experiment with multiple genres that are reasonably similar (Trap, Dubstep, Electro, etc.) and I can only find $100 Vengeance dubstep packs and stuff like that. Are there any solid reliable resources besides stuff like ...

First Track Tips
Hey guys.
So I have this intense first track writer's block. I don't know where to start. I feel like I don't have enough drums/sounds/vocal samples etc. I've bought Sylenth1 as a base synthesizer to work with. Also, I can't seem to pick a genre (stupid I know.) I'm deciding between electro house ...

Bass Question
Hi guys.
I'm curious about the difference between the kind of bass that makes a sub-woofer go boom vs. the kind of bass line there is in an electro house song such as Dada Life's Red Meat/White Noise.
Thanks!

Re: Contents of Electro House?
A really good way to see and learn all the elements that are or could be in a song of a particular style is to get a remix pack or stems of a professional song. Beatport has remix comps a lot and you kind find some in there, or other places around the net. That way you can see each element in the ...

Hi, and welcome to the forum.
I'm no electro house virtuoso, but regardless of genre, your most important tool are your ears. Listen to a track thoroughly, and break it down into sections that are meaningful to you, e.g. traditional parts, like "intro", "chorus", "verse", and more "modern" terms ...
