Hi guys,
I'd like to know if a track played through the car radio is able to regive the auto pan that I added in ableton ?
Another question would be : ALL bass stuff in MONO ? Is it such a big deal if I only put my kick in mono ? Or is it really necessaire because the club systems can't reproduce ...

Re: Avoid clipping...
But I also could lower everything without the plug, right?
I lower it so that it peaks around -6db or -12db and boost the volume during mastering via compressor etc.?

Hi guys,
right now I have a quite annoying problem...
I played around with some of the Impulse kits of ableton an there is a wonderfull one named brainfreeze kit...
So far so well.
In that kit is a really nice tom with (in my oppinion) quite a lot of amp on it which makes the LF really packed.

Re: Monitors...
1. What precisely is the difficulty when I have reflections and a enhanced bass due to my walls?
How do I deal with that ?
Lower the LF and countercheck on another system during mastering?
2. Why is mastering with headphones (for example Dt-990 pro) not recommended?

Hi guys,
recently I moved my room and due to that I am now forced to place my speakers in a corner (I know that isn't good, but can't change it).
The next thing is that in my old room my monitos were placed in the center of the room with lots of space behind them. But they were placed a little bit ...

Warping audio
Hi guys,
I'd like to know if it is really necessary to warp an audio sample ?
Is it only useful until I hear a difference between a unwarped and a warped sample in the track or should it be done always?
Thanks!

Mastering routine
Hi guys,
first of all I want to say thank you, seems to be a great community here! :)
I'd like to know what your routine during mastering is, if you use plug ins etc.
Personally I eliminate annoying freq. with eq, put a multiband, and often a glue comp. or distortion/saturator on the master (ofc ...

Re: Mastering in Ableton
You mean there is no problem by letting the master clip and then just turn him down to -4db ??
Or am I wrong?
Another question : When and how do you use utility while mixing/mastering ? Only for low frequencies ?

What is the problem if I have a little amount of clipping but then turn all tracks down to for example -4db for mastering ?

Re: Mastering in Ableton
Is the goal of mixing that the master volume doesn't go over 0db (the red) ? (not sure, is that clipping? )

Re: Mastering in Ableton
Thanks for all the answers guys!
Are you turning down all your tracks to for example -4db for mastering? Or is there no need if I already have a headroom of -3db due to my mixing ?
