modifying JC_REVERSR, change of bpm kills output.
I'm making some minor modifications on JC_REVERSR (I would link, but maxforlive is down) to satisfy my own needs. I discovered that when it's looping and i change bpm in live, the output is instantly killed. Obviously I would like the loop to keep playingfollow the tempo change somehow, perhaps chan...

Re: "locking" m4l devices
aw, that's nice. isn't that nice? it's nice. hehe. staying OT, i want to add that, besides giving me funny dreams and annoying my girlfriend, the process of building a functional performance tool with live and max is really helping me think logically. it's like brain gymnastics. i also keep a rubik'...

Re: "locking" m4l devices
i can relate. my girl has developed a hate towards max, without even knowing what it is :-/S4racen wrote:Ahh Klaus? Thank you!!
It's meant that my wife has allowed me to carry on developing it, otherwise it would've had to be shelved.....

Re: "locking" m4l devices
I've been selling my device for a couple of months now and have been happy to help anyone who wanted to make changes to it, i thought that was the point... I only decided to charge when it became apparent that people would pay for a rack effect made in ableton, when i considered the man hours i put...

Re: "locking" m4l devices
What he said. I went through the first few tutorials (the max ones, not abes) and it was just too much info. Better to just visualize a simple(!) device, preferably something useful, and go to war. The phrase "google is your friend" has never been more true for me. I am holding back on the...

Changing/improving other peoples devices.
What's the routine?
I have changed a couple of devices which i didn't originally create. I would like to share.
Do I just upload it using my account on maxforlive.com, or should I contact the authors first?

Re: KFLUX - granulator device
this looks very interesting and useful. get sample from real time audio input? it's hard to judge from a video clip, but some kind of transition or morphing between dry and wet would be cool. it would be nice if the output was a bit more recognizable, perhaps larger grains? (i don't know if that mak...

Re: rack chain selector 1.0
this is still causing problems for me. still won't save the path.
i replaced the pattr object with the one from the cycling website. however in this "rack chain selector" i can't even seem to find a pattr, so i don't know if that's the problem.

Re: My first patch: Single knob filter.
Hi Mate, The object you've used is not a "Live" object, have look at the tab on the object pallette labelled Live and you'll find a live dial, this will then show up as midi mappable... As i prefer the GUI of the Knobs you've selected i connect a live.dial to each of them and place it dir...

My first patch: Single knob filter.
please let me know what you think. http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=357 (edit) 20 downloads, and nobody tells me the file is zero byte. and nobody told me i should use live.dial instead of max's own dial to make them mappable. way to treat the noobs. anyway, it works now, so please go...
