Instead of making racks for my VSTs I make 1 rack and put an instance of Komplete Kontrol in that, then within that Komplete Kontrol I then bring in whatever VST im after, reorder the parameters to how I want them, (I dont use the instrument rack macros) save for each preset you want.

I have used the Audiomodder stuff, but was missing a few pieces from NI that audiomodder hadnt done, but easy to do yourself with Komplete Kontrol, much easier than using Ableton Instrument racks.

I think it is fair to mention a bug, that has been confirmed by Ableton support. When controlling 3rd party plugins, it can happen that, while controlling certain parameters, there is a mismatch between Push 2's screen and the plugin / it's GUI. I found NI Monark, u-he ACE, u-he Podolski and Synth ...

A look at the Windows Task Manager informs me that the Push2DisplayProcess.exe process take about 20% on my old Quad Core Q9550 CPU. That's more than the Ableton Live9 process with one drum rack and two u-he Diva (mono mode) VST instruments. Windows task manager isnt accurate so dont rely on that!

I have both, but if your just using Ableton then its gonna be Push all day..

Yes I saw them, they also make them for Push as well although bit pricey for me.

Jam is NOT a replacement/alternative for Push, its more complimentary, especially used within Maschine as a VST inside Ableton.

Yes I like them too, but if im playing anything that needs velocity sensitivity I use the Push, but Jams buttons are fine for Step sequencing and playing melodic instruments, just as long as you do not require velocity, but in saying that, you can use the variation within Maschine Jam to alter that ...

Got my Maschine Jam, and I gotta say it works well within Ableton, switching between Ableton and Maschine is fast, does exactly what you expect. Not used Maschine before so learning curve with that. Gonna figure out how to get Maschine in Drum rack to use within Ableton & Push as well.

I dont see it as direct competition to Push, more as complimentary. I am considering adding Maachine Jam to my Push2 setup.

Correct no parameters show when you hit configure and move a slider/knob etc on the vst, and no option to enable host automation that I have found yet.

Has anyone managed to map Kirnu Creams controls to the macros in an instrument rack at all. I have tried but none of the parameters show when you hit configure to add Creams controls.

Just a thought but make sure PUSH2 has the AC adapter plugged in as Push 2 needs the extra power for the screen..
