Re: What are some typical Ableton noob/newbie questions?
Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! Just thought I would post this link here as I have started uploading videos to this video series which I focus on the common issues we all come across during the early stages of using Live, all of which I have come across myself. No messing around, quick and ...

Re: your favorite plugins/bundles
I love the FabFilter stuff (Pro-Q, Pro-L, Pro-C, Saturn, Micro), really should try the Pro-MB out too, you should check out their bundles. Also iZotope (Ozone, Alloy, and Nectar), will see all these plugins on my tracks

What are some typical Ableton noob/newbie questions?
I am looking at shooting some tutorials and had the idea of doing some on the typical noob/newbie questions that everyone comes across when first starting out with Ableton Live.
So I would love to hear if anyone has any classic questions?
Hope to hear from you

Yeah definitely don't bother with the Apple display, way overpriced for what you are looking for.

Re: CPU Usage
I found a massive difference when I went 64bit Ableton and 16GB ram but firstly how many tracks do you have running and do you have a lot of things going on, effects, plugins etc? Also what are the specs of the laptop you are running?

midi map the preview volume and preview volume turning off
when browsing through samples some packs can be way louder than the next so it would be great if I could midi map one of my faders the the preview volume, this would be a great time saver. Re: Resizing drum rack window
yeah this can be a bit annoying, if you hover over the left side where it has the 128 cells and click, it will show the 16 that you clicked on but as far as your question goes, I have not heard of any way to resize the window.

Re: Stacking drums in arrangement view
you could also consider using seperate tracks for each sound. I sometimes prefer this method because it's easier to see what's going on in arrangement view. (then I just put all the drum sound tracks in a group or a couple of groups). I've also started to do this lately. It's much to be said about ...

will I lose quality if i run export then import then repeat?
The way I like to work is to get everything down til I am happy with it then export each channel individually so I am working purely with audio then once I am working with the audio I will start making a few finer edits without having the midi option there for me to change something 1000 times. I wi...
