Export sample rate fixed if External Instruments/effects present?
Hi, I never noticed this before but I couldn't change my export sample rate down to 44.1 from the project rate of 48khz today until I deleted any external instrument/effect device. Now I know the presence of these devices means rendering occurs in realtime but why would this create an issue for down...

Re: Why I never use Export Audio
To be honest I feel it’s important to go back to the start because everything in a track exists in context with everything else. For example: I only know if the pads at bar 97 are loud enough by listening to the track build to that point, then they either feel satisfying or they don’t. After a certa...

Why I never use Export Audio
I always resample my final mixes into a track and then move that track into my finished mixes folder. It’s not because the sound quality is any different, it’s because it forces me to listen to the mix, that I think is done, again from start to finish. Inevitably every time I do this I notice things...

Re: "External Audio Effect" - has no Record button! why?
Hi! If I have you correctly, what I do in this situation is group the track with the external audio device (or external instrument) drag any of the plug ins that come after the device onto the group track, set the group track to the mixer level of the grouped track and the grouped track to zero. Thi...

HELP! Can anyone with Linnplug RMV help me out please?
Hi Folks I have an old project that I need to finish and it uses the RMV for it's Toms but the RMV no longer works on my system and they've stopped supporting and updating it. Would anyone be willing to take a file off me and freeze that channel and send it back to me using wetransfer or something s...

Re: Help! probelms with choppy video playback
It’s hard to get information on what codecs work best with live 64 bit. MP4 over MKV I think is a good start. Otherwise Resolume works very well with live and do everything you want and much more without too much of a learning curve but it is around €400 or €200 with an education discount. There is ...

Insert/cut an amount of time that you want the locators moved by and then move all your clips back into place. - Dirty hack

Re: Minutes and seconds in arrange
Hi Does anyone have a vst solution to having a readable Hr Min Sec, Msec readout in live? All the links to KVR are dead so If anyone has those old VST files I'd be very grateful if they can pass them on. I'm using Live for Video foley and Sfx work and to compile a cue sheet with Bars and beats isn't...

Re: Ableton 9 + RME Babyface + OSX 10.10 = CRACKLES!
Someone reminded me on facebook that one reason (that I forgot about) for that I run projects in 48kHz instead of 44.1kHz was to solve a crackle-related issue some years ago. I do think this issue might have disappeared with macOS 10.12, but I also shifted computer and the problem was gone years ag...

Re: Ableton 9 + RME Babyface + OSX 10.10 = CRACKLES!
I had a similar problem with a similar set up, and I put up with it for nearly 2 years of dancing around it. Multiface 1, Retina Macbook Pro and glitches that pulled me out of a nice headspace every 9 bars or so. I tried everything including getting a very helpful technician at Ableton to remotely u...

Re: midiVolve new pack
The way it takes in the playing clip works very smoothly. I used it on two channels of a track I'm working on, to mutate a bass pattern (I used its mapping function to modulate the attack of two osc FM over a sub and created note variations too- schweet!) and I used it on a drum track with the pitch...
