I don't get why that is not an option either. Seems fairly straight forward. As you can already tell Live which color to use as default.

I have played a little bit with wdl-ol and it is fairly easy even though I am not a C++ programmer (Barely even a programmer). You can export to VST, AU, AAX and iOS. Definitely worth a look: https://github.com/olilarkin/wdl-ol

There is barely any professional software where you can't create your own shortcuts. Live only gives the option to assign a key to a visible element of the GUI which is pretty limiting in my opinion. Yeah, there are a lot of issues that do not make sense. Is there any way to tell Ableton about that? Because you would just have to couple the button with an action.

In device mode all the plugins are listed horizontally on the display and you can select each of them by pressing the pad below. Is it possible to also show/hide the plugin GUI when I press that pad?

The current system seems unnecessarily limited... You can only save plugin parameters when you create an instrument rack, even though you just want to be able to save that single plugin. Then you can only create chaotic list. No renaming, ordering or grouping of parameters into banks. But there are ...

Can anyone explain to me why it is not possible to have 3rd party plugins and Ableton's own in the same folder? Having them separated makes me use Ableton's devices even less.
