Percussionist I'm recording will ONLY use wireless headphones because he needs to be able to dance around, HELP!
I'm recording a percussionist who insists on using his beats by dre wireless headphones when he plays to the track because he needs to be able to dance around in order to *feel* it and he can't do that with a wire hanging over his shoulder. It's non negotiable, I've tried everything, he won't budge....

Re: Help me O elders of ableton
Also I think I'm using the word "encoder" incorrectly. By encoder I mean any non binary parameter in Ableton (e.g. volume, frequency, etc).

Re: Help me O elders of ableton
It seems logic behavior to me. You map one encoder to two different parameters, hence when you turn the encoder, the software registers all values twice in the undo history, and it registers this in time. So you turn that knob "10 clicks", and it would only seem logic that the undo histor...

Re: Help me O elders of ableton
First thing I'd do is test those encoders/pots to ensure they aren't sending out extraneous data. Quit live, open up something like MIDIox and watch the incoming data after youve twiddled a knob. If there's twittering there check the power to the device, check its being supplied with the correct vo...

Undo history gets flooded but only when mapping to two parameters.
Undo history gets flooded with small increments of data when mapping midi controller to any two non binary parameters in ableton (e.g. volume, frequency, etc). I've seen this problem pop up for others on the forum but only in the context of M4L devices acting wonky. This issue occurs for me with no ...

e.g. Map a fader knob on a midi controller to track volume. Slide fader knob to the bottom for -inf dB, slide fader knob up and reach 6 dB before the fader knob reaches the top.

Re: PLEASE HELP
Video should be working now. All my start/end points for the clip are the same as the start/end points of the loop brace.

Quickest way to reproduce the problem: 1. Create a 4 bar clip quantized to 1 bar with launch setting of "Trigger". 2. Launch clip using its launch button. 3. Randomly relaunch clip a few times using its launch button. (clip should relaunch from the beginning each time). 4. Now press Play B...

Re: Auto Pan gating out of time?
Thanks Angstrom, so basically beat sync is useless unless the device is located early enough in the chain? WowAngstrom wrote:https://www.ableton.com/en/help/article/latency-faqs/
Scroll down to "does Live compensate everything", read about beat synced devices such as autopan
