Any such thing as a ‘wrapper’ to run VST plugins (Intel) on Apple Silicon?

I’m very keen to run a now old plug-in called Nora by Squaredheads. It is no longer developed and I am on an M1 MacBook Pro. It is an Intel plugin and no native Apple Silicon version will ever exist it seems. I tried the AU version as they are meant to work but it will not show up at all. Is there s...

Scaler on same track as Instrument?

Hello all, In Ableton it’s a bit messy using Scaler - always have to use two tracks and all the MIDI routings in and out become a pain. What is the best way of doing this in one track? There are wrapper plugins that let you use multiple VSTs within the wrapper which work - but this is also a bit mes...

CV Tools and Hz/V (Korg MS-20)

Hi all

Can I use CV Tools with my vintage MS 20? Or will it only work on V/Oct?

Thanks

Track Delay - Not working

Hi all,

I have a group that includes an Exterrnal Audio Effect.
No matter what I do, the track delay just does not work on this. Hardware Latency also makes no difference.
Works fine on other tracks (VSTs) but not here. Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Remapping notes for a drum pad controller on the fly

Yeah but I think you can only transpose the the scale? Not individual notes... That I don't know from mind. Still.. possible scenario: midi effect rack which grabs specific keys and then sends them through a chain where a scale device transposes them. Would need 12 chains to accommodate a full octa...

Re: Remapping notes for a drum pad controller on the fly

What I need is something that in that case would map C3 to C1 and D3 to C#4. As my drum pads output on C3,D3 etc. Scale should be able to do that. C3 to C1 would be a transpose of -24, well within the 36 range. D3 to C#4 would be 14. And iirc the transpose setting is mappable (but I'm not 100% sure...

Re: Remapping notes for a drum pad controller on the fly

Did think about that but it has limited range to one octave? Uhm, no? It grabs one octave and can alter within that octave (C to D) but the transpose can scale up to 36 up or down. From the top of my head mind you, but you should be able to just grab the full range of the octave and leave things 'a...

Thanks... but £31! Must be something free out there that does this (seems pretty simple)?

Remapping notes for a drum pad controller on the fly

So I have a drum pad controller with 4 pads... and it sends out C3, C#3, D3, D#3

What I want is a MIDI effect or Max device that will map C3 to any note I choose (and likewise for the others) so I can use it to control other plugin drum modules.

Anybody know how to do this?

Split track with 2 MIDI effects

Hi all,

I have two MIDI effects... one is a CHORD effect, and one is a SCALE effect.

So, what I want to do is have the keyboard split so

OCTAVES 1 and 2 are just the SCALE effect.
OCTAVES 3 and 4 are the CHORD effect.
OCTAVES 5 and 6 are the SCALE effect again.

Any ideas how best to do this?

Re: How to send MIDI messages for program change from a macro?

That's great thanks.

I suppose what would be perfect would be if I could add the names of the presets too for each program - and then just choose them (almost like using a VSTi).

How to send MIDI messages for program change from a macro?

Hi, I have an external synth module (an old Akai SG01v). Problem is - it is on the other side of the room, so I have to get up and change programs using the interface on the module (Which is rubbish). I know you can send a program change and so on from within a clip by using the bank select etc. But...

Excellent - works a treat.
