Re: Launchpad95: Instrument, Scales, Step Sequencer, Device Ctrl

I apologize if this has been answered before, but is there a way to reverse the function of the "hold-Velocity to audition drum sound" button? instead of holding the velocity scene button to hear the drum sound when the note is selected, is there a way to have it always play the sound whe...

Re: Launchpad95: Instrument, Scales, Step Sequencer, Device Ctrl

that involves reading the manual. :P yes there is a button for that. if you dont want to read the manual.you can try all the scenes buttons one after the other :) holding scene button 7 while playing drum pads (aka One Handed Finger Drumming Mode) is not exactly what I am talking about but it'll wo...

Re: iMac 2.9 GHz vs 3.4 GHz -- what difference?

Are they both running a quad core i7?

if so, there'd be minimal difference, but if they are NOT running the same family of cpu, i5 vs i7 etc, then you may see a significant
difference.

Re: A Q: re. 128s and workflow

Is is possible to switch out an individual cell's content (be it a single sample, or a 128) using the Push interface? Each time I press 'Browse' when I have a cell selected, Live replaces the whole Drum Rack instead of just the cell's content. No, I don't think so. I just ried it myself and yes, it...

Re: A Q: re. 128s and workflow

Thanks Logicbomb - that's awesome info. 8) So, are you making racks with 16 cells of 128s - is that right? How are the load times on that? What sort of specs are you running? Yes, I don't always use the full 16 cells, but when I do I prefer Dos Equis, lol no sorry I couldn't resist. Anyhoo, I'm usi...

Re: A Q: re. 128s and workflow

Hi all, I work using a combination of the two methods and what TomViolenze had mentioned as well What I do is I create a 128 Instrument/sampler rack and save those as individual Drum rack "Cells" so that I can mix and match on the fly when I just need to swap out a single cell and then sav...

I've seen this one floating around, for the type of music that people make in Ableton, it could be helpful

Re: A noob keyboard question.

Hi Sana, from what I could find online, the Roland FP-1 hs standard DIN MIDI in/out ports so you'll be able to connect the FP-1 to Live and play all the notes that way. Keep in mind that you'll need a separate MIDI interface to connect the FP-1 to your computer IIRC, your Oxygen 61 should also have ...

Re: SID files ?!?

hey nice find!

This may be slightly off topic, but here's link to a ton of C64 oneshot samples in .wav format just itching to be dropped into your drum rack.

EDIT:

hmmm I think I misunderstood your question with my first answer.

Do you want the notes overlap or NOT to overlap?

lol thanks for clarifying

Re: Korg MS20 mini as master keyboard/midi controller

Wow, so the MS20-Mini won't even send or receive CC data over USB? dang that sucks. was something I was keeping an eye on if the price came down or a got lucky in a garage sale, but this is definitely a deal breaker. Guess I'll stick to the Legacy Collection VST and my SL MKII. to the OP, if you HAV...

After days of sleuthing and reading many blogs, review, comments. I decided to try the Novation Launch Control as a secondary controller for Ableton live Suite 9.1.7. I am happy to say the Launch Control in Factory mode 3 works like a champ with Instrument Rack Macros and any other Devices. You sim...

Re: Found my perfect companion to Push for DJ mixing

I also have Push used along an APC40. In my case, I purchased Push after I got the APC. Yes, theres is definitely a degree of overlap between the two devices, but for me the APCs fader are indispensible. I usually keep my Push in device mode anyhow. I might not have have picked up an APC had I gotte...

Re: APC40 mkII button color variation

Yeah, Push has the same "problem" whats happening here is that each button contains a Tri-Color RGB LED and to make the color "white", all LED are on at the same time. Due to small variances in the output of the RGB LEDs, you'll see somewhat inconsistent coloring versus what you'...
