Yeah, I always think of that UK Funky thing as a musical genre rather than a geographical genre. There is a decent dubstep scene here in Vancouver, but I'm not sure how big the funky scene is here. Thanks for listening and thanks for the comments.

I had a similar problem just switching octaves in one of the oscillators while analog was playing. I sent a report. The problem occurred with the 8.0b10.

I'm having the exact same problem all of a sudden. I think it has something to do with the fact that I changed the default warp mode to complex pro. Even now when I've changed it back to complex I'm getting the exact same problems described by jonny72 above. I have auto-warp long samples set to on. ...

I just upgraded from live 7 to live 7 suite and ableton told me I would get live 8 suite free when it comes out. I bought it at the educational price. So there you go.

I'm assuming that if you already own Operator, you won't have to pay to upgrade it, even if you don't order the whole suite. I think it's there under the suite upgrades because it doesn't come free with the basic Live package (like Simpler and Impulse do, for instance). This seems to be the way Able...

I use my nano kontrol for mixing in Live, but obviously not for big projects. It's also nice to have some knobs and faders for working with instruments. like last night I was working on a Sampler instrument and mapped some of the controls. I also use it to DJ with Serato.

He's been playing well for Phoenix lately too. Not as well as Doan or Jokinen, but still alright.

Boomkat is great. I can never find new stuff on bleep, and beatport blows for the genre I'm currently buying. Juno is good for downloads too.
