Nice. I love operator. Best instrument I ever bought. I was doing the same thing the other day, making a minimal dubstep track with just operator and some delay. You can even use it to make a wobble.

Just got a nanocontrol myself. Cool product and it has 9 non-endless knobs. Under a hundred bucks Canadian.

Just set your global bpm to 140, record the loop and export it. But maybe I'm missing something in your question.

there's a little headphone sign at the top of the file browser on the left hand side of your screen. hitting that will allow you to hear the clips before you import them. but while you're at it, you should give the manual a look. it's all there.

i think you need to arm the track with the simpler in it. the little button under the s (solo) button. that should do it.

To get the "Audio From" drop down, you need to hit the IO button which is at the lower right hand corner of the screen, right next to the master fader. It is probably black and you need to make it yellow. Hope that helps.

If you are on a mac I think there's a piano plug-in in the apple audio units folder. Should be under DLSMusicDevice in the apple AU folder in your plug-in browser in Live. This is, of course, no help to you if you don't have a mac. Also, isn't the "Pianoo" sound in Simpler pretty close? I ...
