As far as I can tell, Live 7 and Massive work great with Leopard. Can't speak to the other programs. I'd go for it.

just drag the sound clip/sample you want (mp3, aiff, wav) onto the appropriate drum pad on impulse. done. i found recently that you can also cut up an mp3 and create drum sounds with the pieces. hope this helps.
