with time machine, you just go open the time machine program, go back to the date you want, highlight the file or files you want and hit restore. no need to open up the drive and search or anything if you know where the file was a few days ago, you could do this selectively too, and leave what you d...

yeah, i've never been one of those people that just assumes there's a problem with the software. I love this stuff and I love playing live with it. I've always assumed that it has something to do with the way I'm using Live and that more experience will help. These replies have been useful. I'll wor...

ok, here my 2 cents: 1) always use re-pitch-mode (warp-modus) 2) never use a compressor, limiter or what eva on the master-channel 3) red-action on the master = no good! 4) use wave-files 5) use a good audio-interface with good d/a-converters good audio-interfaces with good d/a-converters: - audio ...

"i think Complex mode is not best for DJ tracks... i generally use pitch mode for anything thats a whole track or a long loop.. Also, Live's master level is a lot quieter than the same track played even from iTunes i find. its also worth compressing your overall output.." Thanks for the t...

On this topic ... I had a promoter point out to me the other night that the sound coming out of my Mac and through the system using Live wasn't as crisp and full as CDJs (or even Seratos) that he hears in the same club every night. I'm using Live 7, a Macbook and an M-Audio Fastrack Pro. I use decen...

As far as I can tell, Live 7 and Massive work great with Leopard. Can't speak to the other programs. I'd go for it.

rewiring live and logic pro 8?

hey, I've been around the forums and the rest of the net and I can't seem to find an answer to this, so if anyone can help I'd be grateful. when I rewire reason 3 as a slave to live 7 (on an macbook), I can control reason's synths via live, writing midi clips in live and playing them. however, I don...

"the thing holding me back is consistantly everytime i hear someone djing off of ableton the sound seems very unnatural, almost like parts of the track are slightly out of time. it sounds quite unpleasing to the ears compared to someone using traktor, cds or vinyl." I'm not sure, but this ...

just drag the sound clip/sample you want (mp3, aiff, wav) onto the appropriate drum pad on impulse. done. i found recently that you can also cut up an mp3 and create drum sounds with the pieces. hope this helps.
