New velocity/envelope settings in the new version?
I just realized that in any track I try to make with the newest version (9.6.1), adjusting note velocity or creating envelopes does absolutely nothing. Are there some new settings or something for getting this to work? I cannot figure out why it just suddenly isn't working.

Re: All of my files are gone?
Yes, I can't see why the Launchpad should cause problems. As I mentioned in the other thread, you can force Live to rebuild the library by deleting the files.db folder. I don't know where that is kept in the Windows architecture Well, a possible fix: I went to do just that (for anyone needing to kn...

Re: All of my files are gone?
Where is your core library? Where is your user library? Do you have a Live 8 library? If so, where is it? Does the problem go away if you simply restart Live? My core library is in the root directory for Live, located in my ProgramData folder (C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Resources\Core Library) My user ...

Re: All of my files are gone?
It would be good to share more information about exactly what your setup is. The behaviour you are describing is quite strange. Sure thing. I'm running Ableton Live 9 Suite on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I have an Ableton Push and a Novation Launchpad Mini that are always connected, as well as a touc...

Re: Is there a way to point Ableton to the core library?
Already tried, that was the first thing I attempted. Even a full reset didn't fix anything.

Is there a way to point Ableton to the core library?
Live seems to have lost the core library file, as in, it doesn't know where it's at. All of the built in instruments, effects, etc. are all gone, and the only lists that populate are my Plug-Ins folder, and the Packs folder. I know where the core library file is, but Live doesn't. How do I tell Live...

Re: All of my files are gone?
if the search field in the browser is clear... you could try to reset Live https://www.ableton.com/en/articles/reset-live/ just me mindful that this will delete your default set, so you may want to save that first... then after Live is reset you can open it up and set it as default again in prefere...

All of my files are gone?
This is the third time this has happened to me: Randomly upon loading Live, EVERY folder in the "Categories" explorer window will be empty except for my plugins folder and the Packs folder under Places. The last two times it has happened, I have had to reinstall the entire thing just to ge...

Device to automatically slice and pitch a sample?
I thought there was a way (in Live, or with an M4L device) to import a pitched sample, and then slice it to a number of midi notes (determined by you) while pitching it and keeping it's speed, automatically. I must admit that Sampler is still relatively new to me, and I'm by no means a master at it ...

Re: How do you clean your Push?
I bought an acrylic paint brush (unused, obviously) and never looked back. I’m pretty anal about taking care of my stuff and I assure you that it doesn’t even create micro-scratches. My Push literally looks like new one year after buying it. http://www.monechelle.fr/brosse-plate-special-acrylique-p...

How do you clean your Push?
I know that there is actually official instructions on this topic, but they don't really go into detail with things like dust and stuff. Is it safe to use compressed air on Push? The pads are really good at holding things like dust and fuzz particles and little hairs (my cat also uses my Push from t...

Re: Can Push's rotory knobs be bound in "Track" view?
That's a shame. It's such a waste to have those six rotary knobs up there with nothing mapped to them.

"Ableton Push (Port 2)" Should I be concerned?
The manual says that (on Windows) Port 2 means Push is in User mode. I have Push set up in Control Surfaces with the Input and Output just set to "Ableton Push", not "Ableton Push (Port 2)". Still, the actual MIDI Ports listed under that list it as "Ableton Push (Port 2)&quo...

Can Push's rotory knobs be bound in "Track" view?
While in the "Track" view for an instrument, the only rotor controls are Volume and Pan(on non-supported instruments like VSTs, anyway). This leaves six rotors that I assume can be bound, but it doesn't seem like Live is picking up their movements when MIDI Map mode is enabled. My settings...

Re: Not sure if bug or feature...
You're causing this. Make sure the track you expect to play on is armed and that the other isn't. I routinely do what you describe and it always works. It is. I take care of that prior to starting the new clip. Except; even though I selected the duplicated clip, I can still see the green step-seque...
