Just lots of discussions/speculations going on today, so hard to believe what is true.

Fair enough. However, an official statement from Ableton would help squash these rumours.

Well it was quoted in another forum since it was coming from an Ableton employee.

If someone told me yesterday that Intel was ending NUC and the future of Push 3 was in Jeopardy, I woudnt have believed it.

True but since the NUC Ableton uses already had a discontinued date and Intel would have known they were stopping NUC support, how long of a promise would Intel have given?

Well P3 might be that special edition push

I think the issue is that the current Push 3 wont be sold for too long unless they can buy a massive stock of the computer element units. Also the future of the later upgradable controller versions are in question.

Massive headache for Ableton

I think they will need to either quickly change their Push 3 computing design and jump ship asap or buy huge stock of existing NUC compute element boards until they have a new solution.

Surprised no one saw the announcement from Ableton about this situation earlier today:

"Unfortunately due to the recent announcement by Intel about discontinuing their NUC chips, we will no longer be able to sell Push 3 Standalone units. As such, starting tomorrow at 5:40AM we will stop accepting ...

I think Native Instruments patented their 4D encoder so I assume Ableton can't make one that also has both vertical and horizontal clicking as that would breach the patent.

From what I heard, it takes a few days. I just think they could have written that in their email so people know what to expect.

Like "payment email will come within 2-3 days and you have xx number of days to pay when you recieve that email"

I have waited a day now and still no payment email

Sounds to me like the bootloader gets corrupt in certain cases.

I get they dont want people poking around in their OS but having a bootable image would make life so much easier for the tech savy.

I also got an email this morning (7am CET) that my order is ready for payment but havent received payment email yet.

Its odd the payment link isnt in the same email or a link in my user account. Seems like the preorder/payment system could use an update.
