MPE sluggishness in 11.1.1
Loading of Ableton's included MPE instrument racks is fairly responsive - but deleting them leads to minutes-long waiting times or crashes.

multiple midi track editing bug
When editing multiple midi tracks in the piano roll editor I've noticed/been annoyed by changes on notes in one track can cause a reversal of previous changes. Seems to happen quite often even if only two midi tracks are involved. A quick fix is to only edit one track at a time, which obviously is n...

Re: Midi Capture Quirk in Live 11
Thank you, yes this doesn't seem to be a reliably reproducible phenomenon. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. So I will do as requested and send a J:son.

Midi Capture Quirk in Live 11
I use midi capture to start all my productions. It's a make or 'brake' function for me. Hate metronomes. On a new Live set, Midi Capture works for me as described in the manual, but when adding additional tracks (with transport in motion) I've noticed (despite the correct arming procedures) that sto...

Re: Can't start playback where midi edit marker is (vs. arrgmnt)
My current solution which I believe is the best one in lieu of what we are all asking for: Use the arrangement position counter in the main window. Playback will start from that position in the midi note editor until you change the position counter again. Unfortunately, the measures&beats header...

Re: Are you still using Firewire?
Yeah, I heard about it when I was researching jbridge, but it seemed as if the consensus was that jbridge was the better of the two. If you have had hands-on experience with either one, It would be nice to know about it.Steve Glen wrote:Have you heard of 32lives? Its similar to jbridge

Re: Are you still using Firewire?
I also had to decide between a 32bit and 64bit AL installation. I noticed that Ableton no longer discouraged using 64bit and I tried it, but then there were just a few too many plugins that didn't survive 64bit so I backtracked to 32bit. me too on the 32 bit thing. The Abes didn't include their OWN...

Re: Are you still using Firewire?
Why don't you go back to windows 7? That's a good question -- and I almost did, but I read enough comments on line verifying that my main program set (Live, Reason, Vegas Pro, iClone) were all working fine on 8.1, so (not even knowing that it would affect my firewire card) I went with the future . ...

Are you still using Firewire?
I have had the same rig for several years. Off the shelf i5 PC, Windows 7, Focusrite Safire LE, always the latest Live. No big problems until the whopper crash three weeks ago. Terrible, tragic. So I built a new rig. Very up-to-date. i7 4790 cpu, Asus Ranger motherboard. Didn't even bother to check ...
