I just create a patch i like on the synth and then record the audio from it into a clip or on to the timeline (arrangement view).
Sometimes i also record the midi data from when i play the synth aswell as the audio.

Imo you don't need an extra DAC if you have an 2i4.

And the impedance of your Focal Spirit Professional is only 32 ?, so no need for an AMP after your 2i4.

I had a few crashes when i first updated to 9.2. Turns out it was because some of my vst's not being up to date. Once i updated them it's been all good except for NI Replika not working. If i were you i would try updating VST's, reinstalling Ableton 9.2. If none of that works, i would revert to 9.1 ...

Transposing audio files changes the quality, but just transposing it a few semitones up or down shouldn't sound to bad. But i would still recommend rewriting in the desired key.

I don't have Max4Live so i don't know much about it, but to me OSCillot looks to be kinda like Max4Live?
Can someone give me a quick explanation of the difference between OSCillot and Max4Live?
