Actually there was mention of polarity above, and I said that the polarity is standardized, that is on guitar pedals. You pointed out to me that the link I linked to was for a negative center power supply. That's when I remembered that guitar pedals were standardized the opposite ...

Re: Ya! I made a genre blending electronic album :D
The sound that comes in (or maybe comes back in) at 2:45 on Retgo
That sound isn't too terribly difficult to make. It's patched in Z3ta 2+, but the same effect is achievable with massive, fm8, operator, or any additive synth capable of fm synthesis. It is basically just two oscillators, first a ...

Re: Guitar Pedal Power Supply
I was already asked if I checked the polarity, and I said yes, albeit in a roundabout way. Either way, using the wrong power supply is bad in general, you shouldn't do it under any mismatch, voltage or current related. END THREAD (idk if I can do that, but I'm doing it).

Re: Guitar Pedal Power Supply
All right, I was dumb enough to try it, and the answer is noooo, it does not work, but it doesn't fry it either. There must be some kind of voltage guard built in, because I can't even get the LCDs to turn on when a 9v power supply is plugged in, so 5v it is. Thank you Ableton for protecting me from ...

Re: Ya! I made a genre blending electronic album :D
@Rakim87, I actually switched to Ableton midway through this album, but if you're wondering how to make any of the sounds in the album, I'd be happy to tell you/show you how!
And @sirbiss, I love boards of Canada! But I'm actually more influenced by some of the people who were influenced by BOC ...

Re: Guitar Pedal Power Supply
It fits the supply (standardized), it just runs 3v hotter, which nominally isn't a problem, but I'd like some reassurance from a hardware guy. I work as a physicist, I'm not good with real applications

Guitar Pedal Power Supply
Hi everyone! I'm wondering if I can use a guitar pedal power supply with the ableton push. Specifically, a 9v 1 spot http://visualsound.net/1-spot-power-supply/
