...yes...it's like a "live/jam" version logic...you can also record what you're playin but only as a stereo file...

...ah, i see!
since i'm using ableton (+ push) mainly within a live setup i try to have a not too complicated (meaning: not too many routing and effect options) set, therefore (right now) i don't need anymore effects on the recording channels...but thanks for your suggestions!

hi,
is there any advantage / disadvantage (e.g. regarding cpu handling) to place an effect on a return channel vs. to place it on an audio track fed by a return channel?
since i'd like to record my return channels i reckon both methods should give me the same results...?...

...mobius is a looper (actually the best / most versatile / programmable...and also Freeware!)...if you are a programming wizard you might be able to write a "granular" script for it...but i reckon that's not easy...

...not really on a sample basis but check out "rolodecks" by twistedtools...that's a reaktor Instrument...
...there's also a m4l Instrument that does this...can't recall the Name right now...

hi, i deleted some packs from the "factory packs" folder (in osx under user/music/ableton/factory packs)but now i'm not sure if i only deleted my sound packs or also some "important" core library files or whatever... what should be in the "factory packs" folder right af...
