Re: Syncing Metronome with 3/4 Sample Loop
I'm not exactly sure if this is what you mean, but if you look in the top left you'll see the button that's for activating your metronome, and next to that it should say 4/4. Change that to 3/4 and you should be good to go.

Re: Oscillot Alternative?
Happy it worked out for you! The developer used to do donationware years ago. Eventually he charged for it but those who donated got a free license... I guess Karmafx  It actually sounds very good too IMO I agree! Played around with it most of the ay and it sounds fantastic and is pretty d...

Re: Oscillot Alternative?
I will definitely give BEAP a second look then. I wasn't sure how Bidule stacked up. Thank you for the info.

Re: Oscillot Alternative?
I have played with BEAP. It's a bit heavy on the programming end with a steeper learning curve than Oscillot, which is why Bidule looks interesting. I have a bit of a programming background but my patience (or lack thereof) gets in the way.

Oscillot Alternative?
So for anyone who has played with (or even just aware of) Max for Cats product Oscillot, I have stumbled upon another product: Bidule. http://www.plogue.com/products/bidule/ I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this product, and if it may be a viable alternative to Oscillot (which of co...

Silly question about Push Community Script
I keep hearing references to "Push's community script" allowing access to abletons device parameters, etc... what is this script and where do I find it? Google is not my friend today and I'm getting a bunch of unrelated IT stuff. Thanks in advance for tolerating my noobishness.

Re: Making Music - the book
I'm pretty sure with a little elbow grease the kindle version can be converted to a pdf. Aldo there is a free kindle player out there, I do not own a kindle I just read it on my PC.

Re: Launchpad projects on a Push?
Thank you for that info, but this script seems to circumvent that and allow launchpad projects to be played from push. At least thats the claim.

Re: Launchpad projects on a Push?
In case anyone else was wondering, there is a midi script on DJ Tech Tools that seems to do what I was asking if Push does natively (though I havn't tested it yet). Just FYI for anyone looking for launchpad functionality: https://maps.djtechtools.com/mappings/3413

Re: Making Music - the book
Just a little bump here... I'm REALLY glad we got the e-versions of this book... but for the love of god are printing presses near ableton headquarters still lettered by hand? This is absolutely ridiculous to those of us who still want a hard copy.

I'm not really sure exactly how this would differ from just using the drum rack. You say that's prohibitive... how so?

Re: Making Music - the book
Just finished reading the Kindle version. Almost fainted when I saw the ableton page changed with ebook links... and I must say it did NOT disappoint! Some ideas I may have heard before, yes, but it's great to be reminded of them and with a fresh take. And there are loads of real, original, actual t...
