Re: NanoKontrol 2 MIDI Remote Script: "APC Emulation"
This is probably the most updated version of this script. try it out and let me know. I could maybe edit it if i get time :) Cool I'll let you know when I get a chance. Thanks again! BTW, I know I can do most of what I want by switching to one mode or another with this script. But there are a few t...

Re: NanoKontrol 2 MIDI Remote Script: "APC Emulation"
Is dynamiiic (the OP) still maintaining this, or were there not enough donations towards the cause? Willing to donate or trade something for help getting a 5th mode added to this script: a track selection/control mode that operates on the "blue boxed" tracks, and will allow me to ba...

Re: NanoKontrol 2 MIDI Remote Script: "APC Emulation"
That's correct! I do the toggle management inside the script. When you press a button that is toggle, the midi value can go 127 or 0 depending on what was his previous state, meaning I would have to monitor the value change to 0 or 127 for each button like I tried first... The mode change was very ...

Re: Panic button / all notes off
Double clicking the CPU meter doesn't work when the stuck note is on an external synth you're controlling with MIDI from Live. But if you have Max for Live, there are a number of free devices you can use to send a MIDI panic, which will also work for any external synth you are sending it to, such as...

Re: map and display parameter value of other device
So are you looking for the Value to permanently reflect one parameter or should it jump around the set? In our SMART device we've given the ability to map and control parameters with an upper and lower range which is reflected as the values shown on the actual parameter... Cheers D I'm looking to b...

map and display parameter value of other device
I'm trying to make a very simple, small device (minimum device width) that will just map to any parameter of another Live or Max device (even if that parameter is mapped/controlled by a Live rack macro or other Max device), and simply display it's value in a number box. Is this possible? Anyone know...

importing audio file as clip in session or arrangement view
Is there already a device or patch that will allow me to do this? Ideally, I would like to include this behavior in another device I am working on using a buffer to capture audio and write to disk. I am trying to set it up so that, after the file is written, it will automatically be added to the tim...

Need to map multiple tracks record arm to single button
I'm in need of a way to map the record arm button of multiple tracks to one m4l device button. Is there any existing device that will allow me to do this? Does anyone know if/how you can make a device that will do this? I've seen devices that can map one or several track controls to a knob with eith...

Re: Mac Users: AU or VST in Ableton?
I'm having some serious stability issues with a few VST plug-ins and they're much more stable in their AU incarnation. This doesn't seem to be a general experience though and maybe there are plug-ins that are more stable as VST's. A couple of other things to consider: * With VST plug-ins, you get a...

Re: Nudge automation envelopes?
I've always been able to highlight all points in a selected envelope and move them up/down or left/right, regardless of whether I drew or recorded the automation. What I am asking is for a quantized nudge to grid increment. I guess this feature just doesn't exist. Maybe we'll get it in v.10.

Re: Nudge automation envelopes?
Select an arrangment portion with the grid active. Drag the automation from slightly above or under, that will create a straight line and 4 points. Delete the 3 points that you don't need. This explains how to add an envelope point. What I'm looking to do is shift an existing automation envelope on...

Nudge automation envelopes?
Is there any way to do this in the arrangement view or some workaround to simply nudge an envelope by the current grid value?

Re: Make position in MIDI note editor mirror arrangement?
Do you listen to the file before editing ? If so you could midi map the set locator button and the arrows to either side. Drop the locators as you're listening to the file. Set to the first locator, hold midi note, record. Jump to next locator, rinse, repeat. This would save you chopping the file a...

Re: Make position in MIDI note editor mirror arrangement?
Agree. It would make sense. I don't know the nature of the material you're dealing with but have you thought of extracting the groove from the audio and then dragging the groove file back into an empty midi track underneath the audio clip ? Depending on the material it will give you a big head star...
