Re: Fix Automation PDC , Metering PDC and Song Positioning PDC

PDC issues are by far the biggest problem I have with Live. If they were sorted out I wouldn't have to import lots of audio into another DAW to do fx automation and mixing, which would be nice!

MPD32 map to macro knobs

Can any MPD32 users tell me if it's relatively straightforward to have the eight knobs on the unit map to the macro knobs on a rack with the blue hand?

Cheers.

Grid shortcuts won't work Macbook OSX10.5

I simply can't get the grid keyboard shortcuts (command + 1-5) to do anything in Live 8.21 on a Macbook Pro running OSX 10.5. I can't find any conflicts with existing shortcuts, apart from command + 5 which opens up Chrome with a new tab. Any ideas? I'm stumped.

... but, what i love to do is to load a midi cntrl machine into the MD and assign knobs to various parameters in Live and/or plugins (lately i had real pleasure to control the read position of the GRM Freezer plugin). ... Man, what a great idea. I've never thought about doing that before. Nice one!

I read quite a good tutorial in Music Tech on electro bass lines recently. You can access it online ( http://www.musictechmag.co.uk/mtm/features/remixer-s-guuide-to-electro-bass ) but you have to pay for it. It's main suggestion was to create a layered bassline using a variety of different elements ...

I've got a Hang. I had it imported a few years ago before PanArt started their policy of only selling them to people whom come to visit them in Berne, Switzerland (I believe there is a bit of a waiting list too). It's in the Banshiki Cho/Yue-Diao scale, which is a Japanese pentatonic scale (I think)...

I saw Helios live last year and he was using a laptop with Fruity Loops. I don't know if that is his main DAW of choice or not but he was certainly using it to good effect. It was a really great gig.
