Re: SIR StandardClip == s(m)exoscope + Logic BitCrusher ???

Hey Stromkraft I endedup getting StandardClip, am currently testing it. Will check out Melda MMultiAnalyzer video to see how the Loudness view works. I have NI Transient Master, and quite like it, the compressors don't have the same effect I think. Do you set the compressor as a limiter, with high t...

SIR StandardClip == s(m)exoscope + Logic BitCrusher ???

Hi guys ince I moved to Live, I've been looking for a 64-bit alternative for the s(m)exoscope + BitCrusher combo I used back in Logic. Can SIR Audio Tools StandardClip be it? For 19€ is tempting... Has anyone tried it for the same goal, reducing peaks in transistents without nasty distortion or arti...

Re: Synthmaster 2.7.2 and Live 9.2

I haven't updated Synthmaster
yet but will tomorrow and let you all know.
No problem in upgrading really, I just copy the old plugin to the desktop and if the new version doesn't work, just replace it with the old one :D

Re: Headphone cue - Ableton 9 & Saffire Pro 14

It works great on my MOTU 828mk2 and I think I did it the same way. I believe I saw something about the Saffire 14 headphone out being hard wired to the master 1/2 but it could be another Saffire. Or it could be internal routing on the Saffire software, check it out. It was a DJ Bolivia tutorial abo...

Re: SSD on Macbook Pro

Hate to be Data Dad, but you really should have a solid backup routine in place regardless if you're using SSD or mechanical. Well Tim, I'm glad I'm not the ONLY Data Dad in town :) The only people who don't value backups are the ones who never lost work due to hard drive problems! Ask me how I kno...

Re: Warping Again Please Help

There is a guy called DJ Bolivia who has a YouTube channel packed with great tutorials. Many about Ableton and one in particular about warping. I can't recommend it enough.
Look it up, you can't miss it.

Re: Live 9.7 + Yosemite MacBookPro + 2nd Screen = Nightmare

I know it's a bummer to do. Specially of you have a bunch of plugins like me. And you just did a clean install 2 months before :) but just install Live and test it really well. Hope it works.

Re: Live 9.7 + Yosemite MacBookPro + 2nd Screen = Nightmare

Hi Your problem may not be Ableton Live or Yosemite at all. My case: I bought a rMBP that came with Mavericks and Ableton crashed all the time, doing things like Alt+Tab. Then I started getting kernel panics. That's when I got worried. When the whole system halts and you get a grey screen with a war...
