Re: Learning Push 2 Resources

It's almost 2019, did anyone find some new inspiring content on Push 2? I'm not really looking for a course where an instructor will read me a manual, but rather a walkthrough with workflows, inspiring ideas etc.

Re: Laptop to run Live 10 + plugins comfortably?

I have a fully loaded MacBook Pro 15" 2017 and it is not comfortable at all even for 256 buffer. It is super easy to hit limitations with polyphony. I mostly use Ableton's and u-he virtual instruments. Of course it is fairly comfortable and you can most certainly do just about everything if you...

Re: Anyone else find the Push 2 unplayable?

I personally find pads on 2 much more playable than on 1. I don't get many spikes, but I am a person with a light touch.

Re: Pedal sustain vs hold

Piano is a percussive instrument - the sound is generated in an instant and then fades away. The other instruments you are referring to are producing sound continuously for as long as you want them to or unless you run out of bow length in case of strings, but then the sound is cut immediately - it ...

I have VERY similar setup. I have a MacBook Pro Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015 and OverHub, all the software is up to date and Push 2 is connected through the hub and works great!

Re: Support for Polyphonic Aftertouch

Why are you guys lamenting MPE in a thread about Polyphonic Aftertouch ? While you are pointing our minor semantic mistakes you could also campaign to change the topic of this thread to "Support for Aftertouch" since aftertouch is poly in nature and the mono variant is called channel pres...

Re: Ableton Acquires Cycling '74

All these discussions are in vain. This news changes nothing for foreseeable future. That's it. Ableton will not get magic powers and start iterating on Live at a decent pace any time soon. This is just business. If Ableton will innovate it will be with Push and other new products (Live for mobile d...

Re: Spitfire Audio: BT Phobos

It's kind of a bummer that it's not NKS-ready when everything else I have loads up in there just fine (even all of the other libraries I have from them - Olafur Arnalds stuff, North 7 Keys, etc. A brief offtopic, sorry… @digitalgeist, how do you find Olafur's toolkit for the type of music you are d...

Re: Spitfire Audio: BT Phobos

It is laggy when browsing presets (on top of the line this year's macbook pro…), but actual loading is almost instant. And Spitfire just announced some fixes for Windows 7 downloader so obviously they do hope to support Windows 7.

Re: Spitfire Audio: BT Phobos

I'll copy-paste my post from some other forum as I find it relevant: I just connected Phobos to Bitwig (I wish I could do it over Live…) to Seaboard RISE… OH MY GOD! This is pure unadulterated MADNESS! I can load just about any sample as source, add a random convolver (I didn't even get to layering...

Re: Spitfire Audio: BT Phobos

Shift Gorden: How do you find the usability of it so far? UI doesn't feel like it's very complex, but I find it difficult to achieve predictable results so far (I am sure it will get much better with time however). Also, those impulse responses doesn't seem to change the sound too much when I create...

Re: The future of Live - should we worry? (video)

Wise words, Machinesworking & [jur], but despite knowing it all I don't think that I will ever stop being bothered by inability to use my Seaboard RISE or by the lack of multiple MIDI tracks editing (when composing for many instruments) or more things like it… They don't exactly stop me from mak...

Re: USB hub

Sadly I wasn't as lucky as some people above and I went through 3 increasingly more expensive USB hubs and all started causing problems immediately or after a while. In the end I bought an Elektron Overhub which unfortunately is rather costly for what it is, but since then I forgot about it. And I h...

Re: The future of Live - should we worry? (video)

It's also monitored by MANY of us at Ableton to gauge what type of functionality people want, what issues are occuring, what the general pulse of our user base is in regards to Live. I think the core issue is that users can't monitor Ableton back and get a feeling of what Ableton's general pulse is...
