Ableton Push 2. Boxed. £440 cash / £460 Paypal
Selling my Push 2, which is about 1 year old. Love the pads, but I'm a Logic guy, so it rarely gets used. Excellent condition. Very clean. Original Box & Cables. All practically mint except one tiny dent on one of the knobs. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233003052753 £440 cash from North London (N8...

Re: M4L devices lose their values on opening project
I only started using M4L a couple of days ago and I'm finding that a large number of the devices (mostly ones downloaded from Maxforlive.com) do not remember their saved settings when re-opening the track at a later stage. I am also finding many devices do not remember their settings when they have ...

Re: How to trigger Live clips from Logic Pro
That's why I suggested a virtual Midi port. You send the note information over that Midi port out of Logic and use the other end of that Midi port as an incoming port in Live. Now this note information looks to Live as if it comes from an outside controller. This is the conclusion I also came to an...

Re: Ok is there or is there not A Custom Note Assignment Feature
Anyway, what you want is already possible using drumracks, midi effects adn Push2 64 pads mode. Yes, but this presumes that everybody only wants to use Push 2 to operate within Ableton Live. The point of having a User Mode for me is that it might enable me to set Push 2 up to use with other hardwar...

Ableton vs Logic Pro in Live Input Mode for CPU distribution
Hi. After using Logic Pro for 15 years, there are mainly two areas that I've been frustrated with. Firstly, Logic still does not easily facilitate for the creation of complex MIDI routings and makes the recording of multiple MIDI instruments virtually impossible. Secondly, Logic's 'Live Input Mode' ...

Re: Send MIDI cc data from Push 2 to Logic Pro
"What does it send when you are not turning?" In Logic, I am looking at the environment window and I am monitoring the MIDI input from Push 2 Live Port. When no encoder is turned I get no signal. When I turn Push's encoder 1 to the right the monitor says C-2 127, then 71 1, then it will k...

Send MIDI cc data from Push 2 to Logic Pro
Hi there. Sorry if this has been covered before. Couldn't see any in depth explanation in the manual. I've worked out how to send MIDI note on / off from the Push 2 pads to Logic Pro via an IAC bus without being in User Mode, but when I turn the encoders I only get a cc signal of either 1 or 127, no...

Re: Push 2 not lighting up ...
Ok, so after it didn't work again this morning, I can rule out the USB 2.0 theory and evidently deleting one of the two Push devices listed in Live's preferences panel also did nothing. This morning the way I finally got it working was to, in this order - 1) Unplug USB cable from back of Push, 2) Un...

Re: Push 2 not lighting up ...
I've been having the same problem on and off since it arrived about 5 months ago. Maybe once or twice a week it takes me 1/2 an hour to get the Macbook Pro to find Push 2, i.e - when I go to Audio/MIDI setup, Push 2 is greyed out. I haven't 100% nailed exactly why, but out of the suggestions posted ...

Live causes Macbook over heating at 1% of CPU usage ??
Hi there. If I load an empty Live set, which says its using just 1 or 2% of my CPU, I find that within 2 minutes the fan in my 2015 15" Macbook starts going full belt trying to cool itself. In contrast I can run a massive arrangement in Logic with literally hundreds of plugins open and the fan ...

Re: How to Play CC data from Live Drum Rack to an external synth
Thanks for the info guys. I was able to transform note to cc using a trial version of this software: https://www.bome.com/products/miditranslator I wasn't able to test Max For Live because I had previously already done a trial of Live Suite. I probably will buy Max at some stage and this module woul...

How to Play CC data from Live Drum Rack to an external synth
Hi I'm new to Live and Push 2, but 25 years working with MIDI. I'm sure this is easy, but I can't figure it out. Over the past 15 years I've made loads of Nord G2 patches which can be interacted with via MIDI CC. Mostly set up like an drum machines and sequencers, parameters are activated by momenta...

Re: Push 2 - controlling VSTs
Thank you very much much for those tips. All that information is new to me and very helpful.
I'm sorry login if it has been covered before but I couldn't any of that info on the internet from 2 hours searching this morning. I guess this is what a manual might be useful for.

Re: Push 2 - controlling VSTs
Thanks jestermgee. So, does Push 2 do this automatically or would I have to map everything manual before it will work? For example if I bought Push 2, turned it on for the first time and opened Uhe Diva or Omnisphere or SoundToys Echoboy (I have a lot of plugins), would Push 2 automatically map some...
