Re: Best mini midi keyboard???? For dance music.

Depends on your budget...but I really like the Akai MPK225. It's robust, pads feel great, keys feel, ah, okay. Not sure if it meets your definition of mini though - the keys are full size.

Actually, it might be a bit too chunky for ya...

...and while you’re at it, download the podcast, The Mastering Show by Ian Sheppard. That will give you so much background and advice. Great show.

you sure there is no (accidentally recorded) automation in the master track for tempo?
That's what I was thinking, too. It can happen pretty easily, actually.

Re: Export Midi from Arpeggiator

I don't think so, mate. I think you have to do what you're already doing - set the input of the midi track to that of the arpeggiated midi track and record.

Re: iZotope RX7 Voice Denoise

I agree. I use Rx7 a lot for dialogue work, and I’ve found it far easier to process and clean the audio first, and then import into Ableton. In fact, I do most of my dialogue processing including dynamics within RX7 and then zap it over to Ableton.

Not sure if that helps you mate?

Re: Sync Hardware Chain

Are all of the individual pieces of hardware set to receive on the appropriate MIDI channels? You'll have to do this on the hardware itself.

Re: Trying to match imported audio and MIDI loops

I ain’t gonna lie, my head hurts. Because math. ;)

All I got for you is this: is warping turned off when you import your wav files? If you turn it off, you should be able to replicate your original tempo with everything including the MIDI files lining up. I think.

Re: What drum processing techniques are used to make drum swing work?

Quick question - what quantize settings do you use?

MJ Cole swears by the 16T quantize - works perfectly.

Hey mate, I have a feeling it’s the full-on Ableton Suite mate.

Does it have Analog, Operator and Wavetable included in the instruments section?

Re: Best Audio Interface for Mac

Like TLW said, the range of prices is broad. You can get an interface for $3,000, or you can get one for $30 - depends on what you need. I’ve got an Apollo and I’ve got a few Focusrite - for the money, I’d go for Focusrite over the Apollo - my ears can’t tell the difference between a 700 dollar inte...

Re: question about exporting audio

Try throwing your exported soft synth back into your project - and make sure warping is turned off. It should play in time.

Roland Jupiter X/Xm

These synths look so hot right now. Especially the X - available in April 2020.

Just thought I'd leave it here, since I know what gets you all hot and bothered.

Re: Stop Sampler 'clicking' with crossfades?

I could be wrong (and I often am), but I think the crossfade function only works if you've got static loop points. I think the challenge is the fact that you're moving the loop start point...so it gets poptastic. I don't think it will make a difference in sampler either...:(
