Thanks for the suggestion. When I run it as administrator, I see a dialog asking whether I want to allow the app to make changes, and after I say Yes it immediately quits, same as before.

I just downloaded Live 12 and it went smoothly, but it won't launch. I'm on windows 10 pro, with an i5 processor. No folder was created in AppData\Roaming\Ableton for Live 12, and no Live Reports for any crashes. I see Live 12.exe for a split second show up in the task manager but it exits quickly. ...

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but I have the same problem. Vastly inconsistent output velocity for more or less the same force on the pad. Has there been a solution? Do I have a faulty unit perhaps (I bought used)?
