Hi. I was having this issue as well. When I selected all clips and removed the stop button, the issue went away. I did not see a visual spike in the cpu meter, but this seemed to solve the pops. I can get Variations to work but it's REALLY slow (I have a really large template set). But this is a different matter.

Oh yeah, in that case you could install e.g L12.0.1, so that preferences could be independant.

You could install multiple versions of Live, and set each one to your liking.

Tags are saved in their « own » files.

It's just standard a midi out, so you'll need something to "repeat" or "multiply" the midi signal (which what this Oxi Split is doing I suppose).
You can find little midi boxes that accept 1 input and output it to multiple outs.
But maybe your just talking about MIDI's 16 channels?

Ok you're working on a variation within the same project, but still, you're creating a new .als.
You could make a feature request for something like: if an .als is tagged, then automatically tag every new .als within the same Project.

On Windows you need to use ASIO afaik.

It looks like the Arp is time-quantized, and one should launch the arpeggio in advance (like a clip in a clip view). Of course that's the reason. Since time travel is not possible it can't play the note that were supposed to exist before you hit the pad. A beat-based but unquantized option would be...
