I suggest you to try formatting this in a more readable manner if you want some help.

Once tracks are hard-armed, press Push's record button, and then trigger a Scene.
But make sure the Record, Warp & Launch "record when triggering scene" (or something like that) Preference is active.

Sure, if you don't need these backup versions of your sets then just delete them.

Do you own a L12 license?
If yes, then you need to first switch to the latest L11 release version on your P3S. Instructions are found on centercode, and in the ableton.com Knowledge Base.

You can always check Live's info view when you're in doubt about such things.

Not with the current LOM state, and I wouldn't hold my breath for this to be possible in the future as it wouldn't have any other purpose I can think of except for what you described.

The GUI has jus been slightly updated, but everything still works the same.
The attack and release values are shared between the Above and Below, like it always did.

Live doesn't move the clips by itself; if you start recording @ e.g bar 53, when your recording is done the clip will start @bar 53.
