Re: Using Multiband Dynamics as a crossover colors the sound

With EQ8 and Utility (to invert the phase)you can easily create a 100% transparent multiband splitter.
I'm pretty sure you can even find some downloadable racks on the net.

Re: Live 11 vs Live 10 Requirements

Is this due to the industry now selling mainly 8GB RAM computers? That's certainly a big one yes. L11 don't use more RAM than L10, don't worry. Ableton has to take into account deprecated OSes and new computers' standards. It's highly unlikely that you'll find a new computer with less than 8GB thes...

Re: Problem automating M4L device

You can copy-paste the device as text here.
When the device is open in the Max editor > cmd/ctrl+A to select everything > click "Copy compress" in Max's Edit menu > you can now paste this in here.

Weird.
Did you try hooking up a software like Midi Monitor to check what's getting out of Live? You can also do it with Max actually.

It just makes me wonder how Ableton distributes workload amongst the threads... not sure if anyone else is curious on this too. )
Each track gets assigned to 1 core incrementally. You can read more about it here

Re: Complication regarding have a sustain pedal with a midi controller

FYI to everyone you cannot use a sustain pedal with MPE turned on in the midi preferences! Turn off MPE and it will work! Hope this helps, cheers Mmmh, this doesn't sound right. MPE doesn't prevent the sustain pedal from working; but PolyPressure and Slide aren't "sustained". If you're se...
