Re: Ableton Push 3 update

I sold my Push 2 because: - Missing regular piano keyboard - Form factor: Push 2 takes up too much space. - Missing functionalities: chord modes, arragement controls (scrub, play/pause) - Cost - Some other minor reasons I know you can fix this issues with 3rd party addons and things like that but I ...

Betatester here

Hybrid reverb is just.... wow
Comping is... simple, nice, fast

Just 5 minutes touching here and there and I’m in love.

Re: CPU usage in Live 10

I am completely disappointed with Live 10. With Live 9 I was able to work with a huge amount of tracks, plugins and a lot of stuff. This is absolutely impossible with Live 10. It's a joke peeking 80-90% of CPU usage with only two wavetables loaded. Yes, I know wavetable is CPU intensive, but, come o...

Re: Motorized Faders in Ableton?

I use Mackie Universal Control + Behringer BCF2000 as extension of mackie. Perfect.

Re: Using Multiple Mackie Control Devices 1-8, 9-16

Have you tried...

X-Touch -> MackieControl
X-Touch Extended -> MackieControlXT

I have a Mackie MCU as MackieControl and BCF2000 as MackieControlXT and it works like a charm.

Re: STILL NO COMPING?!

Perhaps comping is out of Live Philosophy. I'm just saying. It's quite unusual that one of the daw's bosses out there has no comping feature. As somebody said above, comping is very useful. Useful means time-saver, smart, productive... But you can achieve this (well, something similar) through sessi...

Re: Live 10 upgrade path

If I upgrade from 9 Intro to 9 Suite now... I'll get a free upgrade to Live 10 Suite, ok.

And then... Will I be able to use Live 9 and Live 10 separately with the same license? Will I have different licenses for 9 and 10?

BCF2000 issue with fader and 6 encoders

Hi there, I've just purchased a second hand BCF2000 and some things appear not to be ok: The fader #1. When you turn on the BCF2000, all the faders go down except this number 1. It sends midi data with no problem, but it doesn't respond to 'remote changes'. For example, in Ableton I map this fader t...

Re: Reasons for keeping Push 1, please add yours

I'm not saying Push 1 = Push 2 I mean, colour coding, sample editing, new pads...ok. But I think these improvements do not cost 400€. And not only this: with Push 1 you still have almost the same functionality that you have with Push 2. If I sell my Push 1 and the new one cost me 100-150€, I would t...

Re: Reasons for keeping Push 1, please add yours

I think there are no differences enough between Push 1 and 2 to pay around 400€ more to upgrade.

I'm quite sure that 90-95% of people that has purchased the new one, would make the same work with Push 1. I think there is a lot of fetishsm in this case.

Re: Push 2

All you can do with Push 1, you can do with Push 2. Obvious. What tasks can you do with Push 2, that are not accesible through Push 1? Strictly speaking: sample editing. The display is better, also pads are probable better made, ok. But striclty speaking, only sample-editing is the real difference b...

Re: Time to get Push 1?

No doubt.
I think, once the fever-Push2 is over, 2nd hand Push1 price will increase again.
Push2 only worths if you really need sample-editing on the device.

Re: Push 2

I think as MArc75_RLP. What's really new and exclusive for Push 2? 1) The possibility of editing samples "on the fly". 2) Pads I think that paying 699€ (or 489€ turning back your Push 1) is totally crazy! Push 1 is updated with Ableton 9.5, samples pre-listen from browser, 3rd parties VSTs...

Re: Push 2

Bought my Push three months ago.
I don't mind with sample editing new feature on Push 2.
Is there any other new thing that should make me consider upgrading to the new Push 2?
Or is it only fireworks?
