agreed. saving is one of the times it happens most for me. like....you try to save to actually help remedy all of the crashes and it causes most of the crashes.
THis was an older thread and I have since upgraded to a new 27in iMac and using Kontakt 5 more now and have seen less crashes than before ...

Re: Movie Scoring in 8 is a nightmare - keeps crashing
Thanks for all the responses.
I have a unibody Macbook Pro 2.4 ghx with 4gb or RAM running on 10.5.8
The main plugin I am using for everything is Kontakt 4.0.5 and I only ever run one instance at a time and immediately render that to another audio track.

Re: Movie Scoring in 8 is a nightmare - keeps crashing
Just using quicktime and .mov
Seems to crash when I look through the browser...when I save....if I open up a plug in while the movie is playing...if I move the movie around the timeline...etc.
I'm losing it. Tried to run in Live 7 to see if there was a difference, but my authorizations were used ...

Re: drum pads / triggers help, please
Hi Outer,
Could you elaborate? I was thinking of getting this next week to trigger Kontakt libraries. What is it you don't like about it?
Thanks.
Low Quality POS..
Bought it, and I think I had 3 of them before I demanded my money back.
First one, horrible crosstalk.. Like, the top left ...

Movie Scoring in 8 is a nightmare - keeps crashing
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues with trying to score music and working with video in Live 8.
I get a crash every 10 minutes it seems. I literally have to save after every single piece of anything is recorded.
Could this be Live 8? Don't remember having so many ...

How Do I Achieve "The Faint"-like Vocal Processing
Hey Everyone - I was hoping to get some insight into how Todd Fink does his vocal processing on The Faint albums? From what I can figure, it seems like it is heavily overdubbed, chorused, and short delays with small reverb rooms adding the ambience.

The main benefit to go would be to talk one on one with product specialists for your favorite companies, most vendors are there.

Re: NI Maschine controlling Ableton just like APC40
C'mon.... 4x4 clip launch matrix... it's great that you can use Maschine to launch clips, but certainly no APC40 replacement. I wouldn't want to switch banks all the time just because I'm using 8 tracks....
As already said: Maschine is great for its purpose (velocity sensitive pads, editing on the ...

Re: NI Maschine controlling Ableton just like APC40
I noticed the playing clips are flashing. Do you use a dedicated MIDI track for that, like abletonbasic for the monome?
nope. it is built in to Ableton as a remote midi script. No crazy assigning needed. Really is just plug and play.
I also love the fact that you can easily switch between ...

Re: NI Maschine controlling Ableton just like APC40
but how the hell was that ever possible to scroll upon 4x4 groups of clips in session view, with any mpc-like midi controller before? is it possible that it's done in live8 and uses some functionality that was originally made for the APC40? in other words, would it possible to be done with ...

Re: NI Maschine controlling Ableton just like APC40
So one more question... can you use the pads to enter midi into Live's seq Like a PadKontrol?
Yup. One of the great things I noticed is that this midi control is a custom REMOTE setup. THerefore, there was no assigning anything in Live by pushing [apple] [m]. The script is written into ...
