i'm trying reeeeeally hard to get into Max, this is like my 50th attempt. making an effort to actually walk through all the tutorials, in order, and really build a few working things before my 30 day demo is up. it's cool, i see the potential to do a lot of cool stuff. but in the time it took me to...

The environment is totally intuitive, very gentle learning curve. Just spend a half hour with it and you can ...

Abletoff, thanks for that link to the tempo control workaround. I probably won't even bother, but it was good to read. I havent dug too deep into it yet but im dissapointed with its implementation with Live. Seems like there are lots of params that you cant access via the SL for sampler, operator. ...

i'll second everyone else's fairly noncommittal answers -- both collections are great, i find the track team stuff very useful because it's not just operator focused, has all sorts of good impulse and simpler stuff. ?? - the soundwrecks I have was done pre-operator and is ONLY impulse and simpler I...

I know its not what you want to hear but ive had this problem to using external synths and samplers controlled by Live. The way i have dealt with it is to adjust the track delay til it sounds right. i havent done this in a while but i think i remember the correct delay adjustment being something lik...

Re: Forte Once you have your set of sounds all in there you can run a stress test. It will wildly switch patches, tweak knobs, send CC/notes, wildy doing random stuff trying to crash. After running this you can be pretty sure there is nothing in your setup that will crash. -Ben Do youy get audio ou...

I'd like to toss in crappy png rendering, bad transparency, and non- compliant HTML standards into the ring. Why would you put a huge PNG into a webpage. Gif or Jpg mate. Bad transparency.... Do your gifs in a better program. non-compliant HTML? IE has always been the one closest to the standard, t...
