I recorded myself playing guitar at 140 BPM in 3/4 time with the metronome and saved the project (my guitars pick up is messed up so I recorded it into my mic). I went to open it the next day and the audio file was sped up twice as fast. I checked the audio file for time signature and BPM ...

So I tried out what was suggested above but got nothing..... hmmm. Thanks so much for all the help so far. I am a 'live' artist recording with her voice and microphone so I am not super tech savvy, so if anyone has a solution to this problem and can put it in layman's terms that would be amazing!
