OT, Edinburgh Highland Gathering NYE event cancelled :(

I should imagine I'm not the only one here who was looking forward to going to the Highland Gathering for New Year's Eve. Sadly it's been pulled, more details here... :(

Hehe :) I don't do sinister around here unless someone's really asking for it.

Thanks for the info on Tape-It, I'll check it out when I get the chance.

Respect, Dex

set the input of an audio track to master out... you really ought to read the manual too this is beyond basic. Actually Spiral, this IS beyond basic if it's missing from the manual... After reading your reply I thought I might learn something new about Live so I tried to check out your advice. &quo...

Not quite the answer you are looking for, but select your 3 loops and drag them to the arrangement button. The view will change to Arrangement automatically. Drop your loops onto their respective channels, select them then go to Render and off you go... This works on audio and midi :)

Clip/Sample Pitch Control

In addition to the standard Transpose/Detune controls it would be nice to see an optional continuous/stepless pitch control. A simple slider would do the trick with a range of scales, say +/-10% +/-100% +/-1000%. I would definitely like to see a pitch control in Impulse.

Anyone else fancy this?

go into arranger view, and assign the Master tempo in the Main channel as miminum 130bpm and maximum 140bpm. now asssign master tempo to a midi Knob or if you can - a reversed slider (drawbar style, down is more, up is less), this can mimmick a Technics pitch control. Hopefully you own a midi contr...

I'm looking to upgrade and want to work out the best way forward... AMD or Intel? I recently helped a friend build a new PC setup for his studio. We decided to opt for an Athlon XP 2600 with 1GB ram (running in dual-channel mode). Can't remember the board I chose but it seemed to have everything in...

Re: I want a G5 iMac

I'm considering selling every member of my family to get one. They are so very doubleplusgood, and one would feel like a real 21st century dweller who parks the hover car out front and slides out to have his retina scanned at his front door which then tells the house to get the bath ready and the r...

Awesome, thanks guys. I guess I will pick up the 1299 version. That's not a bad price for a DAW! Anyone recommend any soundcards for it? (Firewire) The M-Audio FireWire Audiophile is a good sounding unit, having 6-outs and 4-ins, midi ports and headphone cueing/monitoring. Or go for the FireWire 41...
