IDM Glitch Sounds by Slicing Hi Hats to the Extreme!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nr2WXjIg3SU Duplicating the same hi hat sample like a million times then crunching down the group of notes to a split second! This effect creates a tonal element in percussive hits which can be used to make buzzy or zipper sounding notes in a non-chromatic fashion. S...

We just recently discovered that there are a lot of Max for Live plugins that generate visuals that go along with your session music! We used a nice mixture of these M4L plugins to make our latest music video! Check out this link for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0L4j4a62kHk Among some of...

Time selector to MIDI map turntable deck

I would like to see a "time selector" in clip view, similar to the "chain selector" in rack view, which you can MIDI map a turntable deck to and control the time of a clip with. This would make workflow for LIVE DJing a lot easier.

Composite Takes (Comping/Take Folders)

Not sure if its been requested before or if anyone knows of any workarounds, but I would definitely love to see Ableton incorporate "comping" for audio recording similar to how Logic Pro 9's comping works (haven't tried Logic X yet). When I record my vocals, I do fast paced hip hop and it's really e...

Re: THE Rack List. (What can you do with Racks?)

One of my favorite tricks with the instrument rack is to load a bunch of plugins and use the chain selector to switch between them. To take it even further, you can control the chain selector with a M4L LFO and get some really glitched sounds. Check out this video for a more in depth look: https://w...
