Re: Who programmed the DSP for Ableton's stock plugins?

The 3 delay modes Fade/Jump/Repitch where added by Claes Johanson just before he left for bitwig. I may be off on this, but Impulse may have been written by Basil Fawlty after he got out of the hotel business. At least that is what I recall from either an old promo video or the one where Vocoder got...

Re: Improved overall MIDI latency

Which audio interface are you using? Because those are some bad numbers you're listing. Also note that the higher the sample rate, the lower the latency. The difference between 44.1 and 96 is spectacular. And yes, higher sample rates demand more resources. But you can only play live what you plan to...

Re: MIDI Keyboard not syncing with Ableton

Sounds like a buffer issue. What is the size of your audio buffer and which Audio Interface are you using?
Which Yamaha and is it up to date?

Re: SysEx (this is simply) I NEED...

This is why I love Max: No matter how clever it makes me feel to figure shit like this out, there's always that moment when you rediscover an object that was always there and does like 90% of what you wanted the whole patch to do. Which in turn makes me facepalm so damn hard, stars orbit my head lik...

Re: SysEx (this is simply) I NEED...

While it seems to work for most Sysex tests I've done so far, the playback of my patch is no match for C6 when it comes to SDS transfers of +1mb samples. But neither is MIDI-OX. And saving a SDS in a .adv file is a waste of space and quickly adds to the size of a project. Might work for the smaller ...

Re: behgr fcb1010 ftcontr. just sending pitchbend in live(only)

Any explanation or rational ever given why Live doesn't allow you to map program changes? Very common and basic control input. It doesn't make sense to map a program change. Program changes are made for... program changes. Actually, I think this might be a bug. You should be able to map a program c...

Re: SysEx (this is simply) I NEED...

Goodie, there's a way to save ports and channels in a preset too. Add an External Instrument after the Sysex Player. Group both in a MIDI Effect Rack and save it. If Autoplay is active, it'll load a preset on your hardware as soon as you load it in Live. So you can even hotswap your Sysex banks/soun...

Re: SysEx (this is simply) I NEED...

Nevermind, sorted it all out. You need to limit it to one device per track (or Rack Chain) anyway. Because some devices will output as they receive, which creates a feedback loop. This should do the trick. As with all Sysex tools, be careful not to brick your devices ;) http://covops.dreamhosters.co...

Re: SysEx (this is simply) I NEED...

I suppose Logic/DP record to a timestamp which gives them the ideal speed for the hardware. I'm trying to reverse engineer the export options of MIDI-OX/Sysex-Librarian before I put my patch out there. I know you can brick a Moog if you don't get the Sysex playback speed right. Thanks for working o...

Re: Push 2 double hits with drum rack

You probably have the Track In/Out settings turned on in Live's MIDI Preferences. Push 2 should only be active in the Control Surface section.

Re: SysEx (this is simply) I NEED...

As of 10.1, a fix to repeating CC's being filtered also means Sysex now properly works on a single track sending and receiving. I already solved the storing, recording and importing of Sysex files as device presets and by extension as .als file with MIDI Routing already set op. I just need to implem...

Re: How long do support take to respond?

Go to Applications > Utilities > Audio/MIDI In the MIDI panel, you'll see every MIDI device you ever connected. You can create a new MIDI configuration, it'll only show the IAC bus and whatever MIDI is currently detected. Try running from this new configuration. It'll add MIDI devices as you plug th...
