Re: Using the Boss RC-505 with Ableton Live
Hello Friends! Resources on using the RC-505 with Ableton Live are scarce O_o I'm currently running the RC-505 into my computer using a USB cable. I can then record into ableton by creating a connected audio track, but I have to monitor through the RC-505 directly. This works fine, but I was hoping...

Ableton 10 max for live multiple audio inputs and outputs
Just installed Ableton 10 and saw the support for multiple inputs and outputs in max for live. That's great news! The surround panner was the only device I could find. I couldn't find any more information, examples or anything in the max help. Does anybody now more? Where can I find any documentatio...

Re: Max For Live licenses vs Max license
.... I assume you can do all of these things and maybe more — What did I miss? — with a full Max license. What can't you do with a MFL license? I am thinking of purchasing a full Max license in addition to my existing M4L license because of the following reason: In M4L you are limited to the 2 chan...

Re: "polyphonic panorama" in synths
Yes, I also have cases where keytracking is sufficient and is of use. For sound generation without pitch this is fine. But I have other cases where I would like to have more exact and independent control over pitch and pan.

Re: "polyphonic panorama" in synths
Thanks for your answers. Seems that my solutions are at the moment the only way to do what I want to achieve - that is also good to know.

Re: Macro to Peak Value
It depends on what you exactly want to do if this is possible: In native Ableton live the only way to do such things is using the chain function in an audio effect rack (or instrument rack). You can edit the zones in a way to achieve such a result. If this is not enough, then max for live is needed....

Using DevicePreseter for multiple devices
For multichannel output I often have e.g. 12 of the same devices (Analog or Operator) in one drumrack. The devices are routed to different outputs and/or panorama settings. Working on the sound becomes painful when I have to change one setting in all 12 devices manually. I try to use the rack macros...

"polyphonic panorama" in synths
Hello everybody, I am looking for ideas and solutions: I want to play back midi notes and set for each note a certain panorama. It should be also working if the last note is still playing when the next note comes. My solutions at the moment: 1) If random is OK, I find solutions using random LFOs to ...

Re: Track Delay in Instrument Rack chains and Drum Rack Mixer.
It's your choice to use existing solutions, do your creative work, have fun - or wait... I have considered your answers ChironControl, and thank you for your time! I make without for the moment and that's why I made my request here. This is the place for that right? Yes, and I completely agree with...

Re: Track Delay in Instrument Rack chains and Drum Rack Mixer.
I don't understand that exactly. Take macro mapping from the drum rack or group the multi layers in one instrument rack und use one macro control for several delays there. I just wish something not complicated for the workflow... I think the Track Delay is it... ;) It's your choice to use existing ...

Re: Track Delay in Instrument Rack chains and Drum Rack Mixer.
In which way? Because you don't have negative times? It would be good to move in real time using the Track Telay EVERY Elements of a slot (in Multi mode) of the Drum Rack, like the picture of my post. I don't understand that exactly. Take macro mapping from the drum rack or group the multi l...

Re: What Would Two Identical Compressors Next To Each Other Do?
... So, once you start to think of the Enveloping as an ACTIVE process on the sound, like a portamento for volume. Now think what might happen if you stacked two of these "volume portamento" envelopes. This is likely why you hear a difference. The interesting thing here is that we have si...

Re: What Would Two Identical Compressors Next To Each Other Do?
Great question! There are a lot of non-linear processing steps. It is not an easy calculation to adapt the settings of two chained compressors to one single compressor. Probably it is not possible to get exactly the same output. I agree that squaring the ratio is the best to have the gains doubled. ...
