Re: Set exact values in mono sequencer
Actually I found out it's only the duration that is hard to get exact. The other values, velocity and pitch are easier

Re: Set exact values in mono sequencer
That does not make any difference. I also tried holding other keys.

Set exact values in mono sequencer
Hello
I can't seem to drag the columns in the sequence data lane to a precise number. For example 100 in the duration. Is there anyway to set it with the keyboard?

Maybe NI komplete kontrol is a better choice if I want coupled hardware control

Novation SL mk3 - VST mappings
Hello
Does any of you know if the Novation SL mk3 keyboard lets you browse presets of VST's out of the box?
From what I understand it integrates with Ableton synths without you have to map everything from the beginning.

Record automation from lfo midi device
Hello
I have mapped the frequency knob of the analog synth to the max audio LFO effect. Now I want to record the automation into the clip. How do I do that ?

Re: Velocity of kicks
Do whatever sounds best. Some cases people do not need any velocity modulation on their kicks. Therefore it would be best to then velocity Off so that your kick can be more consistent when it is triggered. Other styles might use varying dynamics for their kicks to add a kind of interplay. In that c...

Velocity of kicks
Helllo
At what velocity are you using on your kicks? I'm currently working on an EDM song and wondering if there are any benefit of setting the kick to he highest velocity ? (I dont intent to adjust the velocity on the kick during the song).

Re: How to achieve this effect on synth
So far I find the best result was to add sidechain compression to the kick. I have never experimented with an LFO tool before, so I'm gonna try that a well. Thanks for all your input. I used a kind of synth that the mod wheel allows me to flip between two different settings of the same synth. One of...

Re: How to achieve this effect on synth
Ohhh now I hear the sound you're referring to. I was listening to the points exactly leading up to 32 and 1:00 haha The sound seems to just fade in and get cut off abruptly. It might have two parts to the fade-in, and the fade out mostly just cuts off but might just barely fade a little also. I'd m...

Re: How to achieve this effect on synth
Yeah, the sidechain made the same effect! I would feed every tone into a sampler and reverse the ones needed to make a reversed stab. Is there a better way ? The pumping effect is called sidechaining. If you put your glue compressor on a synth and chain it to the kickdrum, youll get that. Or it migh...

Re: How to achieve this effect on synth
I'm not completely sure we are talking about the same thing. What I am referring to are the sound of the notes. I think it goes E2 C2 D2. What effect is used on E2 and D2 ?

How to achieve this effect on synth
Hello
I am wondering how you achieve the effect of some notes sound like they are reversed or the attack is higher.
Here is a link to a song with that effect on the synth from 0:32 to 1:00
