Jazzy trip-hop with distorted bass and aggressive drums

Hi there,
I have just finished my latest work, called Undiscovered - https://soundcloud.com/fogandrii/undiscovered

The idea was to friend loud bass with loud drums. Was mixed/mastered using headphones, so it can happen that some panorama tricks can be not noticeable on some loudspeakers.

Any kind ...

What you can do with some guitar delay pedals

Hi everyone!
I made this track with the idea of creating beats and harmonies using my delay's "upper octave + reverse" mode. The main beat is the result of using this mode + Ableton's Vocoder. Also the main harmony in the middle part is made from the same preset on the delay pedal.

Please, share ...

All guitar lines were recorded using Framus Panthera guitar into Empress Superdelay, Amplitube and Klanghelm compressor. All the glitches ...

Re: Jazz guitar sound

Very big THANK YOU to all of you guys here!

After reading from you, I played a bit with my soundcard. Also I tried Guitar Rig from NI, different external compressors and stuff. What worked for me in the end was a cool VST compressor from Klanghelm - http://www.klanghelm.com/DC1A.php I think a lot ...

Re: Jazz guitar sound

what type of interface are you using? does it have a pre-amp/have a good pre-amp?

this could be where you're losing your "sound". you could try running your guitar through your amp and then using the amp's output* to your interface. this would maintain the sound you are used to and give the ...

Jazz guitar sound

Hi everyone!

It's time for me to share my problem. Some months ago I decided to start doing my home recordings. Actually I came from live guitar and electronic music, so my knowledge in sound was limited by my pedalboard (yeah, I'm a guitarist).

So, when trying to finalize my first track I ...
