Damn so I'm guessing because ableton's key commands can not be altered by the user it's not possible to disable the store function of CMD + X, yeah?

I frequently want to copy a piece of audio and place it where I have something else, but in order to do that I need to delete what is already there. For example if I want to fade the transient on all of my snares I can just fade the transient on one snare, then run across the track copy and pasting ...

Thanks.

I solved the problem myself. It is easiest to simply run the booth out from my z2 into my inputs on my Scarlett 2i2 interface which allows me to record straight onto an audio track in real time as I listen to the production.

I have seen many tutorials and threads online regarding recording individual channels from traktor into individual tracks in ableton simultaneously, but no one seems to know how to record audio into a DAW while using relative mode. I want to record scratches over a song that I am working on directly...
