Best thing I could figure out was putting the Frequency shifter audio effect on, and messing around with the rate and amount of the lfo.
Also you could put the sample into the simper or sampler, and put the lfo on transpose.
Hope this helps.

Re: Help a newbie: OTT Multiband compression secrets
Hey! So when I'm mixing my songs, will basically do light compression(somewhere around 3 db of gain reduction) , EQ, and a little limiting on EVERY track. You can also group tracks that are similar together (drums in one group, Leads in another ect.) and do some light compression on the groups. Once...

Howdy folks!
So I'v been getting into doing all my own mixing and mastering, and would like some practice mixing and mastering for other people.

Re: Getting a full synth sound in Ableton Live 9 Suite
Hey so something that worked well for me when I was first learning synthesis is finding a preset that sounds good to you and reverse engineering it. Also here is a synth I made quickly with analog, I don't know exactly what you are going for but maybe seeing how I work could help  http://image...

Re: How to know what an effect actually is in a rack?
Unfortunately I can only think of two solutions for your problem. 1. If you click the "Hot-Swap Presets" button on the device in question,(if it is an Ableton device) it will show you the device in your browser with all its presets. 2. But honestly I would say just take the time to go thro...

Re: Automation snap-to-grid & breakpoint values
1) Snap-to-grid automation breakpoints. Why do I have to select a section first and drag that entire selection to move to how I need it? Why can't I just click on an automation breakpoint and have it snap to the same global timing grid? Imagine if I could select a breakpoint, drag it to the left or...

Re: Newb here - how to recover a set that keeps crashing?
Hey Paul, so if you know where you saved the session to you can create a folder in the ableton sidebar with the session file as the location. Once you do this you can drag any track from that session into a new session.
Hope this helps!
Best of luck,
Willow

Re: sub bass
Hey so Yamaha HS5's frequency response does not really go low enough to properly hear sub bass. As far as EQing sub bass i generally just do a low pass cut at around 60-100hz, and a high pass between 20-40hz. To make your sub bass stand out in your mix you really want to focus on EQing the other ins...

Automation reversing/inverting
To have the same reverse and invert buttons we have for midi notes for automation/modulation would be a nice time saver, and could open doors for faster creative automation. Also having the doubling and halving functions that we have for midi, on automation would be a cool thing to see.
