Re: PDC according to Sadowick

Thank you!! I was actually just reading that very link ^_^ I've been using Ableton since ~8 I believe (2009ish), but that was my first time ever working in a DAW and I really never used it to its full potential. In the past couple of years I've been steadily learning more and really started to piece...

Re: PDC according to Sadowick

That's a good demonstration, but I wish he had mentioned that it's specifically the automation which is uncompensated in Ableton. Some people might assume its somehow the audio stream which is uncompensated, when in fact that's usually fine, it's the automation which is not aligned with the compens...

Re: Major Bug with 9.6.2

I'm having similar issues - although mostly with consolidating audio clips. I think it's crashed on me with midi consolidation as well. Very frustrating!! I just sent in 4 reports I've collected about it since the 9.6.2 update... Also, has anyone been noticing issues with consolidation not quantizin...

Re: Ableton Live Lite 9 help, session view scene launching,

I've never done multi-track warping, but unless they're all synced up I don't think you can (or at least I'm not sure if it would be useful to you?). Here's an example where Mr. Bill warps multi-tracked drums at the same time, so it can be done. https://youtu.be/8WRUIzfDxPw (incidentally, if you're ...

Re: Ableton Live Lite 9 help, session view scene launching,

It looks like from your screenshots that you got those tracks from a remix pack? If so I would guess they may already be warped/lined up. In that case you probably just need to select all the clips, go to the clip detail view screen, and highlight the "warp" button and it should be pretty ...

Re: Ableton Live Lite 9 help, session view scene launching,

:) This video from Thavius Beck is a great place to start: https://youtu.be/mniqlV2VKA4 In general, you want to keep the auto warp feature off for long samples because otherwise Ableton will drop in a whole bunch of warp markers that you don't need. There's several other videos on warping audio out ...

Re: Ableton Live Lite 9 help, session view scene launching,

I'm talking about the clip quantization or global which is in the launch section of the clip detail view, not necessarily the quantization of the audio to the grid. I don't think that would cause your clips not to play. How did you setup the follow actions? Can you share a screenshot of the clip det...

Re: Ableton Live Lite 9 help, session view scene launching,

Youtube tuts are your friend - probably something to do with your clip quantization and/or setup of follow actions.

Re: How to create long lasting sound?

Epic answers.... For just capturing little chunks of things and extending them...Is OP aware of the freeze function of Live's reverb/ping pong delay, or turning up feedback all the way with a simple/grain delay, or the repeat function in beat repeat, perhaps using a compressor to extend the de...

Re: APC 40 MKI Knobs Jitter and Throw is too long after update

I think I'm having this same problem!! Any updates? I'm running the 9.6b1 btw, because my bandmate and I have been taking advantage of the Link capability which is tremendous! However that's pushed me to want to get much better at using controllers...so on that journey last Saturday I bought a used ...

Clip Color and Audio Monitor Settings

Ok so I'm trying to use a bus track with dummy clips to do some global fx modulations, and I just discovered that I can't see clip colors on an audio track when monitor is set to in... I find this behavior really annoying. I'd like to be able to color them in groups so I know which clips will defaul...
