midistroke is great. I use it to convert midi commands into keyboard commands. sometimes you will need both to control some function in Live. Or multiple functions at the same stroke.
Try it!

I work in a project with about 18 tracks (very few audio clips yet in Session or Arrangement). Some plugins on 3 tracks, but only a few (3 to 5) used at the same time. Maximum CPU use about 35%.
O2 is used to control Simpler (onlu the first 4 loop parameters are controlled).

Problem with Live as a host for GRMTools Freeze plugin.
When you trigger the "Freeze" function directly on the plugin there is no glitch or signal interruption.
When you control that same function (parameter #16) from a key or from a MIDI controller the audio is briefly interrupted on Live outputs ...
