Re: Bitwig looks shit...

I've been a loyal Live user since version 3. And i've bought every single upgrade. Bitwig is refreshing and addresses a number of annoyances and limits I found with Live. I've been beta testing, and I can say I prefer it to Live now.... Metadata based browser FTW (as they say these days). Ableton, l...

I did once, for about 2 weeks.. sold it as it felt bulky and not intuitive at the time. I know others love theirs... maybe I didnt give it enough time?

Re: analog style step sequencing with push...possible?

This is a clincher for me.

I'm sure someone will hack it. But this thing is screaming to be used as a midi note step sequencer, with elektron-style p-locks per step !

Re: Anybody use a Doepfer R2M ribbon controller?

I am also interested in getting one...

However, mainly for the purpose of using it like a 1 string fretless bass style controller... seems that its not accurate enough for that though :-(

Re: multiple midi outputs from an instrument within Live

Any news on this... Ableton peeps??

This is making using Maschine quite frustrating as I want to sequence external synths with it, currently can only do this properly in standalone mode.

Re: Recording vinyls

yep I plan to keep them as wavs for sure. 2 x 500GB portable drives on the way ;) so far.. I have ordered some stuff for cleaning records, inc new sleeves. I will use the mixer out with high quality cable to my motu ultralite, and record as 24-bit wav, normalize and then convert to 16-bit. I was mor...

Recording vinyls

I know this has been covered before.. but the thread was pretty old. I am now (finally) looking at recording vinyls for playing in live, all the tracks I can't find on proper digital release. First of all, for the older ones, looking for good ways of cleaning the vinyls. Then there is the signal cha...

Re: Novation LAUNCHPAD: new dedicated controller for Live!!!

I currently use 2 Behringer BCR-2000's... and Faderfox for scene selection and crossfader. Hardly use the crossfader tho. 2 of these, almost the cost of the APC-40, would sort me out completely for FULL control of the set's clips (16 channels) Only thing is I was hoping to start downsizing my live s...

all power to you something like this is the way forward IMO. take the power away from banks and corporations, or at least begin to.. totally agree, but for that action and not words are needed! Indeed!! But words help to transfer and spread ideas... they are a good start, but yes need positive acti...

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions

Sorry if this is going over covered ground... but I want to assign one of the knobs to change pitch of a clip when selected.. is this possible or do I have to wait for Max 4 Live?
