Re: Weird impact of midi monitor on rack layer selection

Thanks but I don't think so. I don't have a similar problem when I use velocity (rather than cc2) to drive the sample selection.

Weird impact of midi monitor on rack layer selection

(Live 11, Windows 10, 16G of ram, SSD, i7, ...KMI Boppad) I'm trying to use a boppad's capability to send radius messages (as CC2) to select between samples in an instrument rack (within a drum rack.) I map CC2 to the selector. Two samples are evenly distributed in the rack pad. So it should work th...

Re: Waves plugins not working with Live 11

Similar issue here. Actually they (Element2 and Smack Attack) DID work with 11 but then when I ran Waves crappy licensing check ("Central"), it updated itself and then it appears to have updated the plugins (though the actual version numbers didn't change.) So stuff worked in 11 until Wave...

my total latency goes from 13 ms to 53.
Just to be sure: your latency setting (in "smpls", e.g 256/512...) doesn't change when this happens?
nope

Re: 2nd run of Live9 increases latency x4, requires reboot

I now think this is a problem with either the focusrite 2i4 drivers or something to do with windows releasing memory associated with the usb port. So we're done here. You could test with using your computer's built-in sound card to confirm or not the Focusrite theory. Hmm. Tried that. Good idea exc...

Re: 2nd run of Live9 increases latency x4, requires reboot

All of a sudden What did you update in your setup before this "sudden" moment? Nothing. Not even a windows update. Though subsequently I reinstalled my 2i4 drivers to see if that made a difference (and they look different in Device Manager than they used to....) The driver update had no i...

2nd run of Live9 increases latency x4, requires reboot

All of a sudden, regardless of what plugins I am running, and any other set-determined details, the second time I run Live9 after a reboot or else my total latency goes from 13 ms to 53. Ideas? What am I leaving behind on exit? Windows 10. Not sure what other details are relevant to the sleuthing...

Thanks. That's the conclusion I was drifting toward but wanted to be sure.

Re: racks - chokes vs zones

So if I dropped an instrument rack into a drum rack would the overall choke function of the drum rack work inside of the instrument rack ie. across the multisamples in the instrument rack?

Re: racks - chokes vs zones

Indeed it does. But it doesn't give me zones which would allow me to randomize multisamples to humanize some live playing from a midi surface. Thus my question; how can I get both the choke capability and zones?

racks - chokes vs zones

Live 9 standard... What do I have to acquire to use choke groups in a randomized multisample drum pad? It seems like I need to go with an instrument rack to allow zone control but instrument racks don't have choke groups. Can I get this with the addition of Sampler? Of 10?

chain selector moves to new sample, old sample plays (once)

I built a drum rack to play some Tabla samples and want to select from a chain of samples based on the location of a hit on a kmi boppad surface. The boppad generates correct messages and moves the orange chain selector over the appropriate sample. However, often, the first audible response at the t...

Re: "..could not be read, it may be corrupt or not licensed"

Yes, I think that in the posts I have researched I've seen you say that "Live is not a video editor" of "uncommon" file types - at least once before. The only small problem is that their page showing comparisons of versions says it can do it - ie. the product is capable. People t...
